"I loved this cottage, very charming. The only thing I had a problem with was the uneven walkway for my disabled husband. BUT…that was my fault for not checking if it was handicap accessible. There was a very comfortable bedroom and full bath on the first floor, and with a little help he managed just fine.The host was very responsive when we had a minor problem and all was well quickly.We loved being right in Castine, quiet but close to everything. "

They do a fine job of telling you how to enter and what to do when you're leaving... but answered our specific questions only about half of the time"

I kept telling my boyfriend how this place had a "woman's touch" in the small things like decor, feminine products, etc. We absolutely loved staying here and felt absolutely right at home. It was incredibly peaceful and serene being out there, and I couldn't recommend this place more for anyone who wants the perfect quiet getaway. "

"We stayed at the Boathouse for our honeymoon and it was everything we wanted and more. The space is rustic yet comfortable and has a kitchenette that allowed us to make breakfast in the mornings and enjoy coffee and tea alongside our favorite feature, the wood stove. The shower had hot water and the outhouse was comfortable. We were able to unplug from it all and left feeling so rejuvenated. Hope to be back soon!"
