This isn't luxury accommodation but it was squeaky clean and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. Top rate! Room was a good size with a large bathroom. Good wifi. Beautiful view, quiet and lovely. The location pretty much requires renting a car, which was reasonably priced and efficient. Plan to go out for lunch and dinner.

Experience in the hotel
They didn’t find our booking and didn’t have the room we booked, but they didn’t charge us for the food and drinks that were not included in the reservation, so overall it was ok. The room itself had a leak from the shower and a broken trash can, but the view from the balcony was beautiful, the room was clean and convenient. The service itself is very slow though.

The Ridge Residence is an excellent hotel and I had a great comfortable stay. Please be aware this is not a beach front hotel, But is centrally located on the island of Mahe with easy access to explore the whole island and all the beaches. Close to Victoria, Eden Island and the Airport, which is good for Business travellers, and tourists alike. The hotel is close to local bus routes so you can easily travel into town and other locations on the island. The view from the hotel looks out towards Victoria across to Eden Island and out over the Ocean which is unique to this Hotel and can also be enjoyed from being in the pool. Rooms have great silent air conditioning and a great shower with all the amenities you would find in any decent 3 star hotel and beyond. A great breakfast to set you up for the day with dinner available in the evening if you need it. A small but very comfortable hotel with great friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. If you would like to experience true seychellois creole hospitality away from the usual worldwide corporate hotel chains. without a doubt stay here, and from here enjoy Seychelles..

Close to the City of Victoria. Quiet location on the hill with a spectacular view of harbor and city and islands. Great staff. Evita and Joahnna take great care and pay attention to your needs. Owner Marie also very nice.

Ridge Residence a small Jewel.
I stayed at Ridge Residence 2 nights before a Varity Cruise. Friendly staff. Lovely girls in the dining room. Hotel is only 8 rooms, with view of city and pool outside lower rooms. If you prefer no stairs, you can ask for bedroom on top floor which is near the dining room. To get to the lower rooms, there are steps and no railing. The owner said, he would add soon. The food was delicious. Large breakfast included, eggs, bacon, toast and delicious coffee. The service was exceptional. We took a taxi to town hotel charged it to the room. We came back by local bus, cost 0.50. The walk from the bus is not long from bus stop, but uphill. You can go to many beaches from the bus station.Locals are very helpful. The fish market was great fun. Hotel was reasonable. When I returned from cruise, they allowed me to rest at the hotel. You must have the local currency, they do not take euros in town. Hotel called for a taxi to take me to the airport. I would highly recommend this small hotel.

Pre-flight stay
We stayed here as a family of three for one night prior to catching an early morning flight. The hotel was basic but clean. Exactly what we needed. It had a lovely little swimming pool with a terrace overlooking Victoria. The sunrise in the morning from the terrace was spectacular. We ate in the restaurant, which was fine, and booked an airport transfer through the hotel and everything went smoothly.

Clean room, nice staff and great view. I am traveling Seychelle now and had time other hotels. I can make sure you will be satisfied with this hotel for food as well. Reasonable price and good quality! (bring your own shampoo, cleanser, toothbrush/paste etc)

It was amazing experience to stay at The Ridge Recidence . The owners and the staff are so nice ,friendly ,kind and helpful but that is not all !The view from the top of the hill where the hotel is located is just breathtaking! I couldn’t wait to wake up to enjoy the view !So nice ! The hotel is new and very clean ,with a modern interior and the rooms are daily cleaned. I will definitely come back there and I recommend this charming hotel to everyone!

Unfreundliches Personal, dreckiges Zimmer. Die Bettdecke war hauchdünn, sodass man wie unbedeckt geschlafen hat. Die Dame an der Rezeption war unhöflich und aufgesetzt. Nice little Hotel, amazing views of the sunset. Well located to reach any part of Mahe by rental car (which can be organised by the Hotel). Spacious and clean rooms with all amenities you could want. The Hotel has a dining area which offers dinners at a rather competitive price and of good quality with very friendly staff. On the whole I do not regret booking with them and will definitely return when we go next as they offer the best value for money that we saw on the Seychelles. If you're looking for a small hotel, with reasonably priced food and friendly staff, then look no further.

Très bonne adresse aux Seychelles :)
Petite structure de 12 chambres, avec petite piscine, mais fonctionnelle, et une vue imprenable !! Personnel sympathique et arrangeant (même si tout se monnaye sauf le wi-fi et le parking qui sont gratuits), chambre tout à fait spacieuse et correcte, et c'est très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport, la marina, et la capitale. Restaurant trop cher, mais c'est le cas partout aux Seychelles...

La struttura e' in buona posizione. Si trova a meta' collina con vista gradevole su Eden Island ed a 10 minuti da Vittoria. E' adatta a chi dispone di auto. Il personale, (tutte donne...) e' veramente squisito e disponibile. Sono arrivate al punto di chiederci cosa avremmo voluto mangiare e si sono date da fare per prepararci una buona pasta alla bolognese!!! Piccolo neo: il phon e' a pagamento (circa 14 euro per 8 giorni) e la bottiglia di acqua in camera costa il triplo (7 euro) rispetto a quella servita al tavolo al ristorante. In ogni caso da consigliare!!!

Correct sans être exceptionnel
1 nuit avant de prendre l'avion. L'hôtel est propre mais sans grand intérêt. Le transfert vers l'aéroport n'est pas fourni par l'hôtel mais ils peuvent l'(arranger. 30€ quand même pour une famille de 3! L'hôtel se situe au milieu de nulle part. Heureusement, restaurant sur place. Pas franchement gastronomique mais assure le minimum. En positif, le personnel est arrangeant. Petit-déjeuner continental préparé pour nous à 6h alors que celui-ci n'est normalement disponible qu'à partir de 7h30. Bref, séjour correct, lits confortables et chambre propre. C'est ce que nous attendions...

Hotell en bit upp på berget
Hotellet ligger på bergssidan med utsikt över hamnen och Victoria. Det blir något svalare där uppe jämfört med vid vattnet (skönt). Vi stannade bara en natt mellan vi kom från La Digue och att vi skulle flyga hem. Hotellet lämpar sig annars bra för dig som har bil och vill utforska Mahe eller för dig som är här i jobbet. Man kan gå ner Victoria men det tar 45 minuter. Taxi tar 5-10 minuter beroende på trafik. Hotellet har en restaurang som serverar god och (med Seychelliska mått) billig mat. Ett stort tack för den utmärkta servicegraden. Personalen gör allt för gästerna. Vi skulle inte lämna förrän 15.00 (för att ta planet) och personalen lät oss ha kvar rummet till vi åkte. STORT TACK!

Unglaublich freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Theoretisch kommt man überall mit dem Bus hin, dennoch würden wir einen Mietwagen empfehlen.

We stayed only for one night before we went back home but had a fantastic time at the Ridge Residence. The rooms are fine, there is a nice pool, the breakfast was good and most importantly, the staff was super friendly. THANK YOU

Hübsches kleines Hotel mit Blick über Victoria
Die Ausstattung des 2 Jahre alten Hotels ist sehr gut und modern. Die Größe des Hotels (12 Zimmer) ist gerade richtig. Innen- und Zimmereinrichtung, Garten und Poolanlage waren sehr gepflegt und stets sauber. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und lecker. Das Personal am Empfang gab vielfach gute Reisetipps für Maheausflüge. Man kann gut und günstig auch abends essen (abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte, teuerstes Gericht: Steak für umgerechnet 22 Euro). Lokaler Bus fährt 3 Minuten vom Hotel weg ab. Auch mit Leihwagen gut zu finden, gute Parkmöglichkeit. Wir können das kleine Hotel bestens empfehlen.
