"This is the place to stay if you really want to experience the beauty of Taranto you must stay at the Alberto Del Sole
The staff is very helpful and they’re absolutely wonderful. They’ve been backward for you from the beginning to the end of your stay.
Highly recommended I give not five stars but 10 stars"
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel San Michele. Our room was big, comfortable, and well-equipped, with plenty of space for our family of four. The beds were comfy for a great night's sleep, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was great too, with lots of variety to start the day.
The outdoor pool was clean, well looked after, and a perfect spot to relax and cool off after spending the day exploring nearby Martina Franca.
The location was excellent, just a short walk from the historic centre and very easy to get around on foot. The flat, well-kept paths made it simple to use a buggy or pushchair, which was a big plus for us as a family.
Overall, we’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!"
"Staying here was an absolute dream. The property is immaculately clean and well taken care of. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very large. Definitely a top notch accommodation. The host Pinotta was very helpful and pleasant. she really cares and wants you to have the best possible time. She is incredibly responsive and provides great recommendations for what to check out in the area. The spa and pool is beautiful, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax in the isteria valley. Just beware that the road getting in is narrow and you will need to drive at least 20 min to get anywhere notable!!! The breakfast served is very yummy with a nice selection of Apulia n foods and very yummy desserts. Highly recommend if you want to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area."
"The hotel room was beautiful and immaculately maintained. The hotel staff was beyond attentive and hospitable. We were greeted in the parking lot by two staff members that proceeded to help with our luggage. We were then served tea upon our entrance.
Their BROS restaurant was superb! Excellent service and a great meal!
Even their "resident" cat, which we endearingly nicknamed Puccia (for the Puglian bread) Martina (for the town) was so so friendly. His name during our stay was Puccia Martina.
The grounds were so private and peaceful.
In a great location close to town. We used this as our home base and drove to places like Locotorondo, Alberobello, Ostuni, and several beautiful beaches.
Would not think twice to stay there again."
"Excellent stay! The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff members were friendly, polite, and always willing to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
One thing I really appreciated was the convenient parking area, which made arrival and departure easy. Having breakfast included was also a great bonus, with a good variety and a pleasant start to the day.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!"
"The location is magnificent along the lungomare so you go to bed and wake up with the sun and sea. The staff were very welcoming and polite. Early breakfast was available and excellent. I would stay there again and in fact this was not my first visit."

While Magna Grecia itself is a unique destination, the areas of Lecce and Ostuni offer similar experiences in Puglia, combining rich history with local charm and excellent dining.
Lecce, often called the "Florence of the South," is renowned for its Baroque architecture. The historic centre is particularly striking, with buildings carved from local Lecce stone, giving the city a warm, golden glow. Key landmarks include the Piazza Duomo and the Basilica di Santa Croce, showcasing intricate facades. It's a very walkable city, with narrow streets opening onto grand squares, filled with artisan shops and traditional trattorias.
Couples looking for a romantic escape will find Lecce particularly appealing. The city offers a sophisticated atmosphere with numerous high-quality restaurants, wine bars, and cultural events. Strolling through the illuminated Baroque streets in the evening provides a truly memorable experience.
Ostuni, known as the "White City" (La Città Bianca), offers a different but equally captivating experience. Its historic centre is a labyrinth of white-washed buildings perched on a hilltop, providing stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding olive groves. The Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, with its striking rose window, is a focal point. The streets are steep and winding, superb for exploring on foot.
Solo travellers who enjoy exploring on their own will appreciate Ostuni. Its compact size makes it easy to navigate, and the numerous viewpoints offer plenty of opportunities for reflection.
