Our Mountain Retreat - 3 bedroom/2 bath

  • Our Mountain Retreat is a 3 bedroom/2 bath pet friendly home located in the Maggie Valley Resort and Club area.  The home offers amazing views and has a covered screened in outside game room/outdoor family room to enjoy.  The home is one level and has a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer and has WiFi.

    Come ski, tube, take in a show, dine, shop, horseback ride, visit the elk and enjoy a true mountain experience.  Both Historic Waynesville and Cherokee are less than 30 minutes from the home.  Asheville and The Biltmore Estate is approximately 35 minutes away or you could plan a day trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

    Whatever the season, Our Mountain Retreat and the mountains of Western North Carolina have something very special to offer.  From the wildflowers of spring, the blaze of colors in the fall or the serenity of winter, come visit and making lasting memories at Our Mountain Retreat.

Lovely home. Bedrooms & bathrooms nice size, kitchen stocked for ANYTHING you want to cook! Nice deck, and we also enjoyed the fireplace. Be aware that parking is tricky, especially if more than two vehicles. Also hoping kitchen lighting will be improved; it was challenging to make Thanksgiving dinner in a dimly lit kitchen. Living room comfortably seats 3-4 adults, one more if they don’t mind a wooden rocking chair.

The property is managed by a third-party property manager. Check in was easy at the property manager's nearby office. The property manager was incredibly responsive when we had a couple of issues (no propane for the gas grill, small downed tree across the driveway preventing our exit). He took care of both issues. Other than the kitchen the house is roomy with 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master has an ensuite. There is a large outdoor deck with lovely mountain views and a large outdoor table and chairs (4 usable and 2 in need of repair). The kitchen is small and poorly lit. While there is plenty of dinnerware, glasses and silverware, it was lacking in cutlery and pots and pans, and only 1 dish towel and no hot pads. We were staying for 2 weeks so the lack of these items was inconvenient. For a shorter stay they might be adequate. Parking is an issue if you have more than one car. there is one parking spot with easy ingress and egress. A second car requires the use of a narrow parking pad adjacent to the house that is blocked by the other parked car, requiring jockeying cars.
