Search Magallanes hotels

The best area to stay in Magallanes is generally around the town proper, particularly near the municipal hall and the pier.

This central area is the most developed part of Magallanes, offering the widest selection of accommodations and services. You'll find most of the local eateries, shops, and transport options concentrated here. The pier is a focal point, providing access to island hopping tours and views of Sorsogon Bay.

For couples looking for convenience and easy access to local activities, staying near the town centre is ideal. You'll be within walking distance of local restaurants and be able to easily arrange boat trips to nearby islands or explore the town's small market.

Solo travellers will also find this area suitable due to its central location and accessibility.

The best time to visit Magallanes is during the dry season, which typically runs from December to May, with April and May being particularly good months.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant weather with less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty and outdoor activities Magallanes offers. The calmer seas are superb for island hopping, swimming, and enjoying the beaches around Sorsogon Bay.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find this period ideal for enjoying the tranquil beaches and scenic views without the disruption of heavy rains. It's also a great time for those interested in water-based excursions, as the conditions are generally favourable.

For travellers planning to explore the surrounding Bicol region and its volcanoes, the dry season ensures clearer skies and easier access to hiking trails.
