If you can book this hotel, don’t hesitate, it’s breathtaking. Best onsen hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The “stone” bath is peak, with both big indoor & outdoor bathing areas + a sauna beautifully put together. The inside of the hotel is magical too,, feels like you’re inside a Japanese castle. It even has a game center, kids room, table tennis, karaoke rooms, swimming pool, outdoor footbath in the garden ETC. I’m literally speechless at this place, very impressive. Buffé dinner was about 3300yen but totally worth it, delicious.
1. Parking : Plenty of parking space.
2. Dining : If you add there is a all you can eat dinner at top of the hotel, ok for the food.
3. Onsen, they have the larger "bath type" at 3/F that have Shirogane no Yu and the 1/F( walk down to basement?) onsen that have Kogane no Yu water.
personally prefer the 1/F one but depends on your favorite.
Want to visit the stonestep ?
It takes 20 mins to walk to the Ikaho stonestep street. The staff did reminded guest during the autumn season the town have operate shuttle bus (200 yen) with bus stop just outside of hotel to take you to the top.
4. Room quality : Good, the staff will make the bed for you. However there is no WiFi,
Staff mentioned you can use the WiFi at lobby and conference room. I am not sure why but even phone signal is pretty bad coverage and almost no signal.
5. Staff are very nice, even most of them don't speak English, they did tried to help.
Overall a good place, but if you're tall like me you may find yourself hitting your head a fair bit
Included breakfast is good and the onsens are a nice addition, but the rooms themselves are a bit barebones and dont come standard with fullsize towels.
If a ryokan is your thing, its great
