Location and cultural immersion. The hotel is an architectural joy and the rooms have been designed and maintained for comfort; amenties are convenient. My expectation was that the room would be small, due to the age of the building, but design really made the most of the space. Staff were welcoming, provided great information. Imminently located in the heart of the artistic core of the city and surrounded by lovely park areas. Lots of availability of a range of restaurants and services very close by.

Elegant old building right beside train station, helpful staff, lovely plaza out back with cafes and museum Reina Sofia. Very reasonably priced and big room!
The location is great. Close to atocha station and right in front of Reina Sofia. Walkable to Prado. The bathroom is super-spacious, but I wish they made the room more spacious indeed.
No electric kettle, and that was a disappointment. They have four lifts making the movements faster.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Atocha train station. With the windows closed, it is remarkably quiet despite heavy traffic in this area of town. The room was clean and comfortable for our needs.
This is a renovated hotel with modern amenities in a GREAT location across from the Pta. Atocha train station with Cercanias and Renfe train service, and Metro stops nearby. Great to use as your hub for trips around the city. The single room I had was small but more than adequate for my stay. I highly recommend it for the price. One can do without a gym, in-hotel dining or hotel brand soaps and shampoo. Bring your own mesh sponge and you will be fine
Good room. It was big and comfortable. Great bathroom as well. It was in an excellent location. Very close to the train station. Also liked that you had very local places to eat. If you wanted a more tourist side, you just have to walk up Antocha Street and boom all the fun.
I didn't like the attitude of 2 particular staff members. The first time, we ask about the temperature of the heater, we felt the room very hot. The "rude" response was just to open the doors or windows becuase there was nothing they could do. A second night, we got to the room a little after midnight and turn on the tv. I was about to take a shower when I hear someone knocking on the door. I open the door in a sport bra and this guy started bickering on my telling over and over again that people couldn't sleep because the TV was loud. I apologize and was about to close the door to turn down the TV but he would not let me and kept repeating the things over and over again. I just needed him to leave to I could turn down the TV. He was rude and inappropriate. By the way we slept all 4 night with the doors of the balcony open due to the heat.
But other than those 2 issues everything else was great. It was a fantastic hotel.
The location was perfect! Staffs are lovely. The overall hotel theme is a vintage one. My room was nice and clean. One thing you should remember before booking this hotel is that it's a 2 star hotel or I'd better say a motel. Very basic. Imagine yourself in a big house that each guest has its own master room.
Again, because I am a light sleepers, I had issue with sleeping.
Very convenient location. 3mins walk to metro, 5 mins walk to the park and train station.

Right outside of a subway station and taxi pool, the location is quite ideal. Our flight was at 6 am. Having easy access to taxi ride was quite important as subway was not available at 4 am. Taxi cabs are available
Location Location, best location, Literally right in front of Atocha Station which is a major station, and extremely convenient. It’s a straight walk (maybe 30-35 mins walk) to the main square (plaza) with tons of restaurants/shops along the path. Great central, bustling lively location. The hotel itself was magnificent with great rooms and staff. Rooms were very clean.
Excellent choice if you are spending a few days in Madrid. Atocha train is right across the road, metro and bus connections are on your doorstep. There are several beautiful parks within a 5 minute walk. Endless food options, and the Reina Sofia museum (which BTW is worth a visit) backs onto the hotel. The hotel itself is basic and in need of an update, but its very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially with left luggage so you can explore before or after you check in/out.
It was important for me that the hotel is close to Prado museum.

Elegant exterior whilst slightly faded interior, polite staff, clean hotel in good location. No dining facilities but no great loss given its location and access to multiple cafe bar and restaurants. One of best aspects is immediately across from Atocha station in a vibrant area, and is simple but clean and friendly and decent vfm.

Right next door to the modern art museum and 10 min. Walk to Royal Palace and Prado Museum. It is across the street from the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is sparse, but was clean on the inside. It is a budget hotel with no frills.

Prime location with metro, taxi stand, bus stops and convenience food at door step. Ideal for overnight and shorts stays.
I only had a brief stay at Hotel Mediodia, but it was perfect for what I needed. Very convenient to everything, right across from Atocha, and near the Reina Sofia museum and Retiro Park. I also have to say, the staff were very nice and helpful, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. There are always taxis right in front of the hotel if you need one.
