The site doesn't tell you that the hotel is unstaffed after 9:00pm. You simply can't check in after that. You are emailed a code and told where keys are but if you have no email access, you are simply locked out of the hotel you have paid more than $300 for.

Great location.
The area was amazing - very central, close to many attractions, lots of local restaurants and tapas bars. We booked it because the property description indicated it was a 10 room guest house, which technically is accurate BUT, it is co-located with a number of other 10-guest room Hostals in the same building. We found it noisy from other guests (outside noise minimal). We expected little in the way of creature comforts but that said, powdered coffee was a disappointment as was the very uncomfortable bed. All in all, if you are choosing this property for the location, it’s great but for all else, especially given the cost, I’d say it was not a place I’d choose again. We stayed 3 nights...1/2 way through the first night, I was wishing we were checking out...3 basically sleepless nights in Madrid. Loved Madrid but not this property. By the way, the staff was great - very helpful but once the reception desk closes at 10pm, there is nobody to tell the people acting like 5yo’s, making noise at all hours to keep it down in the hallways.

We stayed for two nights before travelling down to Cadiz. We found the Hostel to be very clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. We are planning to return to Madrid for four nights next March and we will stay at this Hostel again.

Location, staff and thin walls
Great location, it's located on walking distance from main attractions, restaurants and bars. The place is clean and staff is really friendly. The room space is good, the downside is that bathroom might be a little reduce I'm a average size guy and struggle a bit to take a shower. Hostel is located in an old building which I guess that's why isolation is so poor, so you can find yourself in the middle of the night listening other rooms loud "Activities" or early morning works from other places.

Close to museum
The room was very comfortable and we were within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, food market, shopping and the museum. Don't show up too early to drop off luggage as no one was in reception until about 9:00.

Great place to stay!! Not just for the price! Danielle(spelling?) at the front personable and very helpful. Staying again on way thru Madrid to catch plane. Decide to stay after first experience!! Usually, I stay at a pricier place,no names here, off plaza de sol. This is better!!!

We loved the location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Beautiful old wrought iron lift. Room was sparse but in Madrid you don't spend much time in your hotel room.

Great location near to SOL station
It was a wonderful experience staying here - quiet, clean and spacious room. The location is fantastic - walking distance to EVERYWHERE! Staff service was excellent too - friendly and helpful, though with limited English. Would definitely tell my friends about this place!

convenient hotel to metro and historical sites
stayed two nights in a very convenient location for sights and restaurants, we parked outside the city and got at train in, no where to park in Madrid unless you organise it weeks before

Great value hostel in a great location
We only stayed for one night on our way back to the UK but the room was clean and comfortable and WiFi worked well. The area is surrounded by bars and restaurants so can be a little noisy at night, but pack some earplugs and you'll be grand :-)

Good hotel, but noisy on week-end days
Good service. Clean room and all is new and functional. The hotel is at a perfect location to visit Madrid. Unfortunately, there's a bar right in the next building and even if the hotel is at the 4th level, you'll have to deal with a lot of noise at night. We stayed there a thursday and friday and didn't sleep well till 5:00 on the thursday and nearly didn't sleep at all on the friday night. It might not be as noisy the rest of the week so it could be a good option but if you have to stay there a friday/saturday night, you have to be advised that it's going to be noisy

Un hotel muy bien ubicado , fácil check in, sin desayuno, cómodo , silencioso, buen baño y regadera, con ascensor , limpio y agradable , bien airea acondicionado, lo recomiendo, muy cerca de la Gran Vía y Puerta del Sol, puedes ir caminando a los lugares importantes en tan solo 3 minutos. Personal agradable .

No pongan elementos de limpieza como champú ´ Solo el primer día pusieron té café y azúcar los otros tuve que pedirlos porque no dejaban nada.

Buenas tardes, El gel y champú lo cambiamos a diario cuando el personal de limpieza ve que el cliente lo ha agotado, por otro lado café y el té es un detalle de bienvenida, eso no entra en la reserva, ni le cobramos por ello, Saludos!
