The host, Javie, was such a delight! He was friendly and met us when we checked in. The room was very clean and quite since we had the inner room. The location is perfect. Near metro and all the popular tourist sites. Also, the price was perfect for what you get. I highly recommend this place if you are on a budget and want a nice place. Thank you again Javie!!!

We only spent one night un Madrid and Hostal la Zona was perfect for that: great location, very nice room (although a bit small), and the staff was very friendly)

super efficient service makes for a wonderful stay
The precise and personal service was rare and outstanding. Facilities are great, location super convenient and wonderful so one has to put up with some noise and busy-ness. But the easy, no fuss approach made my stay so very pleasant. The service is amongst the best I've had and for a modest establishment, this says alot.

Thanks a lot Jay, We are located in a very "vibrant" zone of Madrid, surrounded by shops, bars and lots of people, thoug we try to create a clean atmosphere with ONLY the basic things most of us need when we travel, and the most important for us is to take care of our guestrs in many different ways. Places can have a soul, and that´s something you can´t design or buy. We hope to see you soon!

This property locates in the heart of old Madrid. To every where is literally walking distance. However, the space in the room is really limited. We are very appreciate the complimentary breakfast each day.

Amazing location. I had a room with bid bed, bathroom and everything needed. The staff were excellent and friendly. I could not have asked for more and represents amazing value for money. The breakfast items are good and there was coffee tea making station on the 2nd floor too. Trade off is its a bit noisy at night, Saturday was, Sunday was quieter but then its 1 block from Gran Via, and right behind Primark Would go back and stay again 100%

Paper thin walls. Every movement and conversation could be heard as if the person was in the same room. You get what you pay for I guess Lack of hot water on one afternoon Staff were helpful though

Good stay.
Great location. We had 3 single beds, as our son was with us. The room was a bit spartan, but the beds were fine and everything was clean and tidy. The included continental breakfast was excellent; enough variety to fill you up and get you on your way. If you're looking for luxury, you're looking in the wrong place, but otherwise it was fine. Some of the reviews mentioned that the nights were noisy, but we experienced to extraneous noise. Slept soundly.

The hotel is VERY centrally located, nearly halfway between the Prado and the Royal Palace (both of which are MUST see's on your trip to Madrid). The fellow who runs the place is very nice and very helpful. The bathroom is quite small, which caused my points deduction, and a portion of the hotel is currently under renovation. The hotel is literally just a few yards away from the Grand Via. The location of this hotel is excellent, the facility is very clean, the breakfast is nice..simple but nice. Overall, I would rate this hotel highly and would recommend it to future Madrid travelers.

Nice location near La Gran Vía
Nice Hostal, very clean, have elevator because is in the second floor, private bathroom, free a nice breakfast and very fast WIFI. Amazing location, near La Gran Vía and a walking distance to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and other touristic places. A little noise in the night, but overall, very nice.
