Barcelo Funchal Oldtown

"We had an amazing time at Funchal Barcelo. The staff was extremely nice and treated us so well. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne in our room one day - they had seen from our passport that we were celebrating a birthday. Complete shock and unexpected. Location was great! Close to the water, easy to walk the downtown streets and the rooftop pool was wonderful (although sometimes a bit crowded). We would recommend Madeira and especially this hotel to anyone who asks. I can't say enough great things about our experience! Looking forward to coming back, hopefully soon!"

"Location of the property is wonderful, right next to the pools. View was great. Staff very helpful. Parking was not so great, but there is a parking lot they have for you to use that's about a block away."
