"Fab view to Funchal Bay as on second floor up a steep hill. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent bakery and tapas bar nearby. Steep walk 30 minutes to main restaurant area. "

"Hotel location and parking were extremely hard to find and navigate. The hotel in itself was nice and had kind staff. Our room was upgraded but it had a very strange layout. Tub was in the middle of the room which is awkward if traveling with friends and family, the shower and sink leaked into the main room, and there was insufficient lighting. Other than that it was a pleasant stay! "

We were disappointed with the room as it was incredibly tight, there was no natural light and really no air flow making it feel stuffy - FYI. We flagged to hotel but they were unwilling with change our room to a better one without us paying more. That bit was disappointing."
