My child was doing a college tour in Macomb, so I called the property before booking to ask if I could do an extension instead of booking a second night. I was told yes and that I could extend out until 3pm “no problem”. When I arrived, I was told by the front desk personnel that not only could they not accommodate an extension past 1pm, but I couldn’t add a second night due to having a service animal with me and needing to go into a pet room. 😡😡😡

Staff was friendly, room was good for my dog not a bad place in Macomb.. it’s located outside the hustle and bustle of the college town not to far tho.. 10/10 would stay again :)

We came for a graduation at western and stayed one night & the walls were super thin! You can hear everything even the pipes, when water is turned on, toilets flushed.

Says pet friendly but when i arrived with my 5lb puppy I was told that she wasnt allowed then after i mentioned the pet friendly policy I was told it was certain rooms for dogs for an additional $20 and to add to that the pool was completely out of order and after reading other reviews its been out over 5 months. I would never stay here again. Entry doors are not even locked anyone could just walk in.

Trash behind the hotel in the mornings, maybe an animal got into the trash cans by the back doors. I was in handicap room and there’s really no place to put your own toiletries out in the bathroom . The chair and ottoman needs to be replaced, chair peeling a lot

The gentleman who checked in and out was pleasant. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The remote wouldn’t turn on the TV. The bathroom door didn’t lock. The “breakfast” was merely nothing. Overall, it was a place to rest but needs to focus on different things like the mold (looked as though it had just been painted over)

I use hotels to sleep only, and the bed was very comfortable. The room did smell like cat pee, although it was cleaned every day. My key didnt work after the firat night, and the second key stopped working on the day of checkout, which was probably my fault. The door didnt always close all the way, so had to take extra care to make sure it was closed. Again, not really a big deal. I felt safe in the room. I only had breakfast one day, it was just meh. The pool was closed the 3 days we were there and re-opened on checkout day. It is located in a convenient location, and was very well lit. We had a room that was easy to get to. The shower was clean and the water was hot.

Made due but was not enthusiastic

I called before going and had a rude woman who bearly spoke english tell me what we wanted was not available even though i emailed and knew it was. Upon checkin a friendly elderly woman checked us in and was great, she even brought out more pool towels for kids to swim at 9pm. Breakfast the next day was horrible with the first womans voice from phone call i reconized running it breaking it down 20 min early as we ended up with cereal and a muffin at 845 15 min before it was closed. The second night my door handle fell off in my hand from the inside and i took it to the front desk where the elderly woman was again and said she would have them fix it in the morning so again very nice but shows its a bit of a run down place. The pool was good for the kids and they had noodles to play with so a few positives.

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

I'll Never stay here again. I am unable to leave a lengthy review, but as a new local resident of Macomb -- I'd rather stay in my house with no water, electric & no working plumbing than to waste my money here. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, but nothing as bad as this place. EVER. Rudest staff I've ever encountered, countless disruptions & threats... (yes, the clerk up front threatened to call the law enforcement as I was checking out) Oh --- don't take any pictures in the lobby. She will snap her fingers at you like a dog. My Google has the elaborated version of my complaint... not enough space here. I'm usually very easy to please... but rudeness is a total understatement. Don't waste your $ here.. spend it on a more deserving business in town. SERIOUSLY.

This hotel was a present surprise. The property is in nice condition, keep in mind, Quality Inns are not top of the line, but this was among the best I have stayed in. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was above average and nicely stocked. I will definitely stay there again in the future!
