Stayed for the half term week end of May.
Beautiful cottage, well equipped, more spacious than looks in the pictures. Lovely little patio garden. Beds were comfy. Stairs are quite steep, but there is a downstairs bedroom if you have difficulty with the stairs. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The log fire worked well and gave the cottage a cosy feel.
The recycling was not clear, the messages on the bin have worn away, a note in the information about what goes in what colour bin would be useful.
The pub no longer allows use of parking, but the car park works out reasonable if you pay for the whole stay by text rather than pay on a daily basis.
Disappointed there were some cigarette butts in the patio garden, aside from thoughtless guests who should clear away their own mess, this is a housekeeping issue.
Second housekeeping issue is the overwhelming smell of dogs. The smell was even in the top bedroom, the owner requests that dogs remain downstairs but this has not been adhered to, people may love the smell of their dogs, but other people don't, but also with the smell that strong, the carpets need cleaning and the furniture and walls washed down, the smell was so strong, it made me gag, and their were do hairs in the bathroom !!
A quiet area, though the weather was not good, so may be a bit noisier height of summer, but my guess would be not that much that it would disturb. less than a minute to the beach, and 5 minutes to centre. Shops, cafes and a few restaurants.
Ideal area for families, lots to do in surrounding area.
