We very much regret that you felt the need to go home earlier, as in this COVID-19 situation you preferred to be at home. Of course we fully understand this. You made the reservation online, where you had the choice between the rate where you can cancel free of charge up to 24h in advance or the NON-refundable rate, where there is no refund in case of cancellation. You made the reservation 3 weeks prior to your stay and at that moment you chose the NON-refundable rate. At that time the current COVID-19 situation was already in place and you were aware of the risk you were taking by choosing the NON-refundable rate. In spite of that, I would like to apologize to you, because we want nothing more than for you to go home satisfied. Our NON-refundable rates are always excluding breakfast (€ 29,95 p.p.) and excluding parking (€ 35 per night), you have the choice if you want to make use of this. I am sorry to read that you experience us as inflexible, while the team works very hard to make our guests experience a fantastic stay. All this within the guidelines of COVID-19. Most of our rooms are located in the monastery itself. All these rooms are named with ‘monastery’. By walking through our garden, you reach the Gatekeeper’s Residence and the Casa Nova. Rooms located in those two buildings can be recognized on websites with the building name as well. By giving our rooms the name that includes the building they are located in, we expect our guests to know better in which building the room is located, when booking a room. We are very sorry that this was not clear. We will discuss this with the management team to see what changes we can make on the hotels.com website, to be even clearer here. Our guests feedback and impressions are very important to us because we see it as means to improve our services every day. Your room was located in the Casa Nova. Casa Nova was designed by SATIJNplus Architects and is a modern, sleek building that houses three rooms in the monastery garden. Please know that you can reach the hotel reception 24 hours a day. If we had known that the room did not meet your expectations, we would have liked to show you other rooms in the monastery so that you could change rooms.
