About this property
Casa Rossa - Barossa valley
A hidden paradise in the heart of the Barossa, with everything you need for a peaceful family-friendly getaway. It is the perfect home base for exploring the Barossa Valley and making the most of your stay, whether you're an outdoors type, a wine connoisseur or just simply here to unwind. Then spend your evenings looking out onto its private vineyard and drinking in the sights and smells of nature at your doorstep, Picture a rustic-style farmhouse, complete with solid red bricks, wide windows and wooden fixtures throughout - but with a contemporary bathroom and full air-conditioning for a touch of modern luxury.
Access is via the kitchen which is located at the end of the driveway through the terraced courtyard. The kitchen leads into the dining and living room, laundry, hallway and secondary lounge room. The laundry is equipped with a washing machine, a second shower and toilet.
The open-plan dining room and living area is fitted out with top of the range furnishings, beautiful, locally hand-painted artwork, and a Smart TV. This room has a stunning outlook through wide, East-facing windows onto the back garden, vineyards and beyond - perfect for admiring the rolling hills of the Valley or even some rabbit-spotting!
Just across the hall from here is the secondary lounge room, with cupboards stocked with board games and books for every taste.
Along the rest of the hallway is the main bathroom (with bathtub), and the three bedrooms. The master bedroom with queen bed shares the living area's breathtaking views and is warmed and lit by the sun all day long. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, and the third contains two singles. All bedrooms are equipped with storage units for your clothes and other belongings.
Make sure you make the most of the outdoor dining and terrace area, accessed via the kitchen! Fitted out with a BBQ and rustic stone outdoor furnishings, and looking out onto Casa Rossa's stunning private vista, it is the perfect spot to entertain, unwind and drink in the beauty that is the Barossa.
The house has ducted air conditioning throughout, so no matter what time of year you visit you are sure to be comfortable. There is space for two cars along the driveway beside the vineyard, and a third spot should you need it near the garage off the main drive onto the property.

My partner and I stayed for a weekend, treated to a warm fireplace in the lounge room, relaxing outdoor set, perfect for an afternoon drink and bbq, modern bathrooms and a beautiful kitchen that would welcome guests and encourage everyone to mingle. A great romantic getaway.
Casa Rossa was well position with close proximity to many wineries. The property was located in a relaxing setting with a view of vineyards and visited by wildlife- kangaroos, cockatoos, galahs. The homestead was very comfortable and attractive.
A beautiful location, very welcoming hosts - I couldn’t rave anymore about this property. Highly highly recommend staying here!

Thank you for a lovely stay! Great communication and the home had everything we could possibly need. Comfy beds and a lovely bath! Thanks again, we’d love to stay again
The house was delight to spend 2 weeks in the Barossa, the house had a well equipped kitchen which was a pleasant to use A thoughtful food hamper and wine was appreciated. The bed and lounge furnishings were very comfortable. The use of fireplace was amazing as we were there during some very cool and miserable weather at times
This property is lovely but needs some maintenance on it to make it beautiful. The cooking utensils eg fry pans etc need to be replaced, bbq was great, property bangers were lovely & very helpful
We loved this home. It was quite large, especially as we are one couple. The furnishings and hardwood floor are great; the kitchen huge, super well equipped, and really nice. We loved the patio though it was a bit cold when we were there. Difficult to read the script of the wifi password and had to call but got a prompt reply. The vineyard next to the house was nice and we saw a kangaroo and Joey one morning for a good photo at dawn. But we loved the bird sounds each morning and evening. Maybe an Australian wouldn’t appreciate this but as Americans, we couldn’t get enough of their melodies. We had a nice two days touring about the wine region though many places are not open on Tuesdays. We highly recommend this property, one of our top 5 favorites on a six week holiday in Victoria and Tasmania. The hotel in town offered a fine meal.
Lovely property. Close to some beautiful wineries.

Brilliant stay within 5 minute bike ride to Lyndoch pub and shops. 15 minutes to the hustle of Tanunda. Very private and on a big lot, with a small vinyard out the back. Saw a kangaroo family nearby daily to the delight of the kids. The open fire place was brilliant and the 2 toilets / showers helped with the 3 kids, as did the beautiful bathtub! We'll be back :)
We were a group of 6 (3 couples) and the house worked really well for us. It was lovely and quiet, the location for exploring the Barossa was terrific and the house was really well equipped with everything we needed -even proper wine glasses which we have found doesn’t normally happen! We would highly recommend it.

There was some disappointment over pre arrival communication and some of the things promised on the description that did not work .
We had requested an early arrival and had that confirmed but then were sent an SMS that the house would be ready at 4pm ( previous advice 12.00 pm ) . This was then confirmed that the 12.00 pm was OK after we had arrived .
The other problems were 1. We had planned a BBQ for the afternoon but the gas BBQ did not work with the automatic lighter . We were reluctant to use matches as the BBQ tray on inspection looked as though it had not been cleaned for many uses if indeed it had ever been cleaned .
2 . The oven did not work for cooking . The only thing that worked was the grill in the oven
3. The entry doors to the kitchen ( main entry ) could not be accessed from outside as the lock mechanism needed freeing up . It locked from the inside so a the back door was needed to be used to enter the house .
4. The house had no council refuse bins or recycle bins and the two small dustbins supplied were full when we arrived . Looked like the bins had not been emptied for some considerable time .
5. A small can outside near the entry door was full of old cigarette butts . ( all of us are non smokers )

Lovely house and outside area
Very comfortable well set up house with comfortable beds. We four + baby enjoyed it thoroughly. If you forgot it - you would find it in the house - they thought of everything. So much thought was put into all the extra's such as a multitude of breakfast options with eggs & bacon, cereal, breads and all the different coffee's. There was welcoming wine & chocolates as well. Loved the outside area, and the wildlife. The last few metres of the driveway was a little tricky if you had a larger people carrier like we had - but manageable. Thank you, hopefully we'll get back there.

We stayed a Casa Rossa - 2 Melbourne ladies on a Thelma and Louise wine trip - and the house was fantastic. Beautiful bedlinen, amazing breakfast with heaps of food, the kitchen was kitted out perfectly and the house was beautiful and warm - plus we were delivered a wheelbarrow of wood for the open fire.Quiet and private - really lovely. I couldn't fault the accomodation and we even had a kangaroo in the yard one morning. I would definitely recommend Casa Rossa.
