A beautiful cottage in the heart of the New Forest and a short drive to beaches
April Cottage is a comfortable cosy two bedroomed terrace cottage, set in the middle of the delightful village of Everton with our friendly local shop and pub offering scrumptious local produce.
Nestled in the heart of the New Forest, with only a short drive to the beaches, open forest and the charming market town of Lymington with it’s picturesque town quay, boutique shops and bustling Saturday market. The cottage has a sitting/dining room with a separate kitchen, conservatory and boot room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one double and one twin) with a shower room. There is a walled garden at the rear and a front garden with gravel parking for 2 cars.
Milford On Sea and Keyhaven is 'just down the road'; offering village shops, beaches, cafe's, pubs and restaurants. By taking a short walk/drive to Keyhaven, you will find a traditional pub and a beautiful walk along the sea wall, enjoying the spectacular views of the Solent, the Needles and Isle of Wight. Bird watchers will particularly enjoy the salt pans and marshes that are renowned for their bird-life. You can take a ferry from Keyhaven harbour to Hurst Castle and if you are feeling energetic you can walk back along shingle bank.
In the other direction is Christchurch and Bournemouth with long golden sandy beaches, theatres, pubs, restaurants and a buzzing nightlife.
Located in Lymington, this cottage is in a rural area and by the sea. The area's natural beauty can be seen at New Forest National Park and Bournemouth Beach, while St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery and Sammy Miller Museum are cultural highlights. Travelling with kids? Lovely cottage with perfect location for getting around the new forest but still close to the beach.Blackout curtains would be nice for the lovely sunny mornings but we had a lovely stay
It is a charming cottage with assess to a nearby pub. I would be cautious booking if you are carrying large heavy bags as plants overrun the garden path and stairs in the cottage are narrow and steep. Kitchen is well equipped and supplies generous. There a a wonderful village store just down the road.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very homely and spotlessly clean. Short drive from Lymington and the Crown Inn pub around the corner was fantastic. We regularly visit the New Forest and would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Nicky for offering such a wonderful property.
Lovely break to celebrate a significant birthday. April Cottage was immaculately presented, warm, comfy and very well situated to access both the coast and forest.
Beautifully presented house and nice little touches by the owner, milk biscuits dishwasher tablets etc. very good local shop 100 meters away. Would have no problem recommending this property
The property was lovely and exceeded all our expectations. A great local pub and fantastic cornershop also came in very handy.
The pictures of the property on the website don't do it justice. The garden and house were much bigger than expected. The bed was also super comfy. We had a dog with us and apart from all the great beaches and the forest there is a park around the corner from the house, which is really handy for early morning or last minute walkies.
Cracking place to stay, such a homely, comfortable property. All you needed for a weeks stay especially cooking Xmas dinner, A1. Great back garden, spacious and enclosed, perfect for the dog. Lovely outlook over the front garden as well. Couple minor issues, contacted the owner about, came back with a thanks for letting us know message.Good pub just around the corner along with local shop. 5-10 mins drive from Lymington and Milford on Sea. Thank you Nicky
We really enjoyed our stay at April Cottage, it is homely and cosy in a great location to explore the New Forest and the South Coast. The cottage was lovely and big enough for a family of four (including 2 older teenage boys). The bedrooms, bathroom and downstairs loo are spacious. The lounge and dining area provide a lovely space to eat, play games and watch tv together. The kitchen is compact but has everything you need. There is a spacious conservatory leading onto a lovely walled garden at the back. Good parking at the front of the house. In the village there is a local shop only a few minutes walk away, and in the other direction the local pub is only 5 minutes away. The pub is welcoming and seems popular with the locals and the food and service is good. Only a short drive to the lovely Lymington and Milford on Sea. Brockenhurst is only a 15 minute drive away and is also worth a visit and a good place to explore the New Forest on foot or bike. Nicky was very helpful and responded quickly to questions. There was also a small hamper with biscuits, bread, coffee and tea, with milk in the fridge when we arrived, which was thoughtful and welcoming. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.
Was a lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the area. We drove to Lymington for the Saturday market and sea front walk and also walked from the cottage to Milford on sea for coastal walks. Lots of pubs and cafes in the area and a village shop just up the road. The cottage was very well stocked with everything we could need in the kitchen with some thoughtful touches such as blankets for if the evenings were cold. We was lucky with the weather and sat out in the back garden in the late afternoon/early evening sun. The cottage was also very clean on arrival with a fabulous well maintained garden, a home from home.Would highly recommend a stay at this cottage.
Lovely to have a welcome pack waiting . Comfortable house in quiet area. Would recommend. One thing which I'd recommend is some outside lighting in front of the house and by the steps as very dark when parking at night.
Lovely cottage, very comfortable. Really well equipped and clean. We stayed in November but am sure garden would be lovely in spring/summer. Didn't take pet but is dog friendly with enclosed back garden. Owner was easy to contact, very helpful would definitely come back.
We found this cottage to be in a good location for exploring the New Forest and Milford on sea. Check in and communication very good. Enjoyed a comfortable stay. Pub just down road, good for a drink but wouldn’t recommend eating there.
