"Painted Rock was delightful. I loved the simplicity of the decor, and the thoughtfulness that went into each amenity. There were so many details that kept adding to the stay: wool blankets, fireplace, the kitchen appliances (super fun!), the tea, the VIEWS of the water, the privacy of the location (neighbors are nearby but not visible), the kitchen well-supplied (but simply) with tools, sharp knives to work with!, beautiful and functional tub/shower (great water pressure!), and the hummingbird feeder. The property is well cared for and maintained. We really enjoyed our stay - would definitely choose Painted Rock again for an anniversary getaway!"

"There's a beautiful common area with a pool table, bumper pool, a fireplace and lots of books and puzzles. Snacks for purchase in the lobby. Real old-fashioned cabin feel. Stayed in a motel room with lovely cabin interior, with deck looking out to the lake, kitchenette and comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. And at a very affordable price for the north shore."
