The Luis Angel Arango Library serves a dual role as Bogotá's main public book repository and a major cultural centre. Browse one of Latin America's most extensive collections of literature or visit for an art exhibition. From this serene location you can admire Bogotá's skyline or watch a concert.

This library is enormous. Explore its 12 vast reading rooms, which house a collection of over a million books. Literature on every subject from science and finance to music and languages lines the shelves. In a historic section, see rare manuscripts and maps. Take the elevator to the top floor to experience one of Bogota's best views. From the balcony, you'll get uninterrupted views of the cityscape. Look back and admire the contemporary design of the library, which stands out from the colonial style of La Candelaria district.Book a seat in the library’s 367-seat Sala de Conciertos (Concert Hall) and enjoy a musical show. The Luis Angel Arango Library forms part of La Manzana Cultural (Cultural Square), found in the heart of La Candelaria district.
