This place was a true gem, gorgeous grounds and a stunning historical building with 12 foot ceilings and huge windows. The beds were comfortable and the bath very clean, we loved the tropical flowers and plants and enjoyed a fantastic Italian meal at the restaurant. The decor was tasteful and inviting. Everyone was very nice and helpful, we wish we could have stayed longer to explore Lugano but we had a train to catch in the morning.

This is a great place if you’re looking for a place close to the train station, which was my main reason I picked the hostel. It takes a bit of time to get to the water side but not so bad to navigate. The staff that helped me upon check in was very nice and extremely helpful. The place is on the older side as far as facilities are concerned but still efficient enough. The entire property gives off an old villa vibes. Could use a couple more showers and toilets to share downstairs.

Great spot by the train station. Room small but nice and clean for the 3 of us. Aircon was great in the heat when we stayed. Staff extra helpful. Cooking facilities were great and not too crowded at meal time. Breakfast in the nearby shared hotel was excellent.. kept us going for the day. Would stay here again. We were 1 adult and a 12 and a 14 year old (girls). Highly recommend.

I really loved my stay here! It was one of the highlights of my trip as the hostel is really beautiful, lovely staff and great pool area with a view of the mountains! The lady at reception recommended I take the breakfast buffet as well and it was amazing! Every food you could ever dream of in a beautiful setting! Definitely a 10/10, would highly recommend!

This property was fantastic for the price. It was super clean and the staff was fantastic. Super close to train station for daily excursions. My daughter was in the hostel next door with her study abroad program. This could not have been better. Such a beautiful place and within walking distance to town. Loved it!!

Hotel with Character.

Hotel with character, positioned in beautiful fern gardens. Good facilities. Good buffet breakfast in adjacent sister hotel. Next to railway station. Short walk to lake. Steep hill but okay if you are healthy.

This place was perfect for ours. Free parking. Cute (but small room). Close to funicular for getting to water. Could easily walk too. And the pool (with pool bar) was a treat after a day of walking around in the heat. Very happy. Not the cheapest though.

Having to share a bathroom with other guests. There were a pair of underwear hanging in the shower when I went to shower. It was so hot and there were no fans. The furniture in the hallway was so dirty. We booked rooms in other hotels for 4 of our 5 nights that I had booked here.
