"We received a very warm welcome from the staff when we arrived plus a very welcome glass of water as we checked in. The hotel is very well situated to explore Ludlow and the surrounding countryside, it sits an easy 10 minute stroll into Ludlow, crossing a very picturesque bridge beneath the walls of the castle and offering a dramatic view of the castle as you approach. We had a lovely first evening meal at the hotel, the menu is appropriately short and the wine list very good, a very nice touch is the offer of a number of wines by the carafe, great for couples. Breakfast is served in the light filled conservatory and again had a good selection of cereals and cooked dishes, with vegetarian options. Staff were really helpful and on hand to advise on places to visit nearby. All in all a very nice place to stay."

"Excellent stay, nice big comfy bed, cosy room, only grievance I had was the windows, difficult to open & needed a clean on the outside bit as sash windows, didn't have breakfast, staff very helpful"

"We stayed one night to break a journey. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed a good swim in the lovely pool.The breakfast was good. It's a shame that the building is looking somewhat tired but understandable with today's costs."

"The room was very clean and towels were changed daily. Staff were welcoming especially the lady who served breakfast who despite being extremely busy went out of her way to help. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice with the Continental and Cooked breakfast. Thought drinks at the bar were expensive."
