"The area wasn't so interesting although we did walk to a good restaurant. The hotel is being renovated and all the lobby area floor was covered, presumably in advance of new flooring. Elevator wall covering kind of old, but once we got to our floor, it was nice and modern and our room was really spacious, clean, modern and up-to-date. My only disappointment was the old A/C system that sounded like a muted jet engine when it comes on. We had a hard time adjusting temp between two settings - freezing and a little warm. Front desk staff when we checked in was VERY helpful and cleared up a $165 charge made to our room before we checked in that wasn't ours! In the morning, front desk guy was not so good...... Overall, price was reasonable and room was great, so all good!"

"Excellent experience from check in to check out. Only complaint were the slow elevators. My mother isn't able to use stairs easily, so it was frustrating waiting for an elevator. The room was comfortable and well cleaned. We also appreciated the care our check in clerk gave to make sure we had all the information we needed about parking and the restaurant services."

"Great location for a short stay, especially if you commute daily to the NIH campus by Metro. Within a two-mile walking radius of the Residence Inn, you’ll find local and chain restaurants, shopping, and several grocery stores, including three Trader Joe’s locations. We stayed in a cozy one-bedroom suite with a living area and kitchen. The bed was comfortable, and the excellent blackout curtains made it possible to sleep well into the morning. The lobby also offers a convenient business workspace with a couple of computers and a printer. The hotel serves a wonderful hot breakfast buffet, and the breakfast staff were very friendly. The waffle maker seemed to be available only on weekends. We mostly ate out, including at the excellent nearby Andy’s Pizza. For Catholics who want to attend daily or weekend Mass, a Catholic church is within a 10-minute walk."

"We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is well located for visiting upper NW and family in MD. The space is large and nice - they are kind enough to equip it with all that you will need. We were in town for a week and it had everything we needed for the whole time. The only things I would note is that the backyard isn’t fully fenced in case you are bringing dogs (they never said it was, but just pointing it out for dog owners). Since you are staying in a basement apartment you do hear footsteps and talking above but it wasn’t excessive. Finally, I would recommend reaching out the the day before you arrive to get the entry code to the door. It wasn’t in any of the emails I received from VRBO and it was a bummer when we could t get in when we arrived but the owners were super responsive when we reached out for it."

"The home was very nice in an extremely upscale neighborhood. The large deck made family gatherings easy. The downstairs was not clean with many spiders. The entire place needed a deep clean. The AC struggled to keep the house cool. It was convenient to DC and metro stops and there was enough space to park several cars."
