"Reluctant to write a negative review but, sadly, this motel merits a poor rating. A kind description would be rustic, an honest appraisal would be shoddy and poorly maintained. The room smelt musty, there was mould around cracked tiles in the bathroom, the windows had that hazy look of ingrained dust and grime, the bedroom carpet was ancient & stained and the fabric on the corners of the bed was ripped. "What an extraordinary property. This beautiful and ancient stone house in the mountains is brimming with character. The rooms are beautiful and quirky in the very best of ways. The views are dramatic and exquisite. The owners are lovely people and made us very welcome. Breakfast was a feast of lovely pastries, bread, preserves and muesli type cereals. "The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were nice and welcoming and had great suggestions for local restaurants. We also greatly appreciated being able to leave our luggage in a safe storage area in the hotel after check-out while we explored the city before our flight. I would absolutely stay here again!"
