Beautiful peaceful resort with a friendly helpful staff. The rooms are large, clean and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds breathtaking.
Three nights in a 'Honeymoon Villa' in Dec 2023. Very spacious room, and balcony with view on the big lotus pond and idyllic rustling of a small stream right under th balcony. Clean room and linnen, nice towels. Bathroom with huge bathtub, really hot water with good water pressure, full ameneties. Good restaurant. Regular free shuttle to town (about 5 km away). Recommende!

Clearing clean and nice service. We were there at the off-season
So much potential but nothing like described. Firstly the Spa is permanently closed. The breakfast was the most basic I've ever seen at any hotel 2 star or up. The hotel staff are friendly but completely unwilling to assist.
Hotel itself is good. room was ok and quite at night. Good staffs and swimming pool is big, deep enough and good. But location in Hotels.com is not correct. I thought this is near Daofa hotel but it is around 1hour far by walking. Check the exact location in google map. It has free shuttle bus to downtown around 5, 6 times a day.
Clean and beautiful place. Great breakfast! Good restaurant!
The grounds a very nice, but it is really out of the way and there are not many shuttles to town. The staff barely speaks any English if this is something that people mind.

It’s very good in general. The problem is the Resort needs to add up a few more electric outlets in the room (I stayed at room 704).
shuttle bus is convinient. But, pool is under construction.

Lovely gardens & views, 15 mins by car from centre
Lovely setting in countryside with gardens to walk around and lots of quiet spots to relax. We made good use of the free shuttle - fairly limited service (first shuttle into town at 10am and last back at 10pm with services in between at 1pm and later in the afternoon) but easy to use and convenient drop off point (the Santi hotel in town). There were so few guests in the hotel the last two days of our stay that beakfast was to order rather than buffet but there was plenty to eat and a good range including fruits, pastries and an eggs, sausages etc. Staff are helpful without being intrusive and were happy to arrange a tuk-tuk to the waterfalls for us.
We enjoyed the location in a countryside setting but this hotel wouldn't suit someone who really wants to be within walking distance of the main tourist area (restaurants, night market etc).
The pool was great and recently reburfurbished (we stayed mid August)
I loved my stay at Santi Resort! I'll consider booking there the next time I visit Luang Prabang. My room clean, quiet, and updated; the spa and the peaceful gardens set the mood for relaxation and romance. The property has existed for serval years, but apparently not as long as Santi's main hotel in the old town (where I also stayed on this trip). A free shuttle provides access to the stops near town; very convenient! I was not bothered by any noises. In my room was a spacious bathtub, which I filled it up once. But the water was turbid and murky; perhaps due to the rainy season? I didn't want to use the tub after that. I did, however, make full use of the spa and adequate fitness room (air-conditioned if you turn it on). The treatments I received were excellent and recommendable as I am a licensed massage therapist in New York. As with the immaculate surrounding gardens, the pool looked clean though I did not use it due to time. The breakfast was generous and delicious. I also had an a la carte lunch of green curry once, which was better than I tasted in town! After check-out, I booked a 1 hour massage before my taxi arrived.
I would have given Santi Resort an additional star if the staff had been more responsive at retrieving the few grooming items I accidentally forgot to pack and take with me. Reception knew I was in the spa for an hour treatment after checking out, but didn't check my room. I had to ask a local friend to retrieve the items.
The pool was being remolded otherwise would have been a better stay..

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
We stayed here as we could not get into the sister hotel Villa Santi which we used before. This hotel is further from the town than we thought and although the gardens and surrounding area are beautiful we felt a bit isolated. The staff were very nice but not as helpful or as well trained as at the other hotel. The building although in a quaint colonial style is quite run down and overall a bit stuffy. The pool area is fabulous but no one uses it quite mystifying.
Unless you want solitude I would not recommend staying here.

Couple things to watch
On outskirts of town but good shuttle . Nice place to do some relaxing and rest. While hotel gives you a card to get a discount at their underused restaurant the rulers around applying the card make it unproductive so enjoy the breakfast on the property and go to town for dinner when prices better, quality better, and choices bettter. The hotel neeeds some upgrades but the grounds are very well kept.
The hotel is very comfortable and attractive, set in gorgeous tropical gardens with views of misty-covered mountains and rice paddies in the surrounding countryside. The pool area is especially lovely. The hotel offers good massages and has a restaurant with a reasonably varied menu, though be sure to have dinner in town, as well, where the restaurants are truly excellent. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The charming town of Luang Prangag is an easy 10 minute shuttle ride away.
