After driving nine hours, we reached the hotel for which we had a paid reservation. We were appalled to find out our room was on the second floor and the elevator was out of order. No one was available to assist us with getting our belongings down the end of a hallway and up a flight of stairs!

Check in was difficult with a person who we had trouble understanding due to a very heavy accent and who appeared to have difficulty with our expedia reservation. She also refused to believe that I had a disability. The room had a definite musty smell and the carpet looked like it needed to be shampooed. ...
