The property itself was great for our family. Lovely clean pool and quiet property with lots of facilities. The pool was a lovely temperature for cooling down in the very hot weather and had well maintained grounds. The property is advertised as being a few km from Vilamoura which we thought we could walk - however there is no access over a golf course so it is much longer to go round and was way too hot and along dusty roads so you do need to really drive to get anywhere.Few communication problems with the host. It was difficult to get in touch for check in - the host used their own messenger platform and my messages were not getting through. I eventually had to phone the host when we were at the property and was told 'you were supposed to give me 15/20 mins notice' but nobody had told me that at all.We were allocated a parking space but this was taken up by someone else for our whole stay. Despite telling this to the host and sending him pictures he told us this couldn't be true as that was our space. It was true, we had the pictures sent to him but still he told us that could not be possible.We had to chase several times for clean sheets and towels which were supposed to be changed after a week. Eventually on day 9 someone finally called me and it transpired they had forgotten to book us in for a change.There were no coffee pods or anything like that which would have been a nice touch as I couldn't use the coffee machine as I didn't know which pods to use.
