The house was perfect for our large group. Jack did a wonderful job communicating. It was clean and comfortable. Very unique house and perfect location if you want to be downtown.
The property was amazing for our stay and we all enjoyed our individual suites. The location is ideal for what we did and whole the neighbors might look rough they are very nice and friendly. If I come back to Louisville I'll look this place up again.
Great home - updated historical home in great location. Easy walk to distilleries downtown and restaurants. Comfortable beds and great space to enjoy friends company. Would stay again
The house is huge and in a good location. It took a little bit to get our bearings because it’s a unique layout but it has plenty of space and if you are in the bedrooms you can’t hear if other people are awake or making noise which is nice for larger groups. The location is walking distance from most of what we wanted to do. There are a lot of people walking around and sleeping outside the front door but it was never threatening or anything like that. The owners were very responsive and helpful and overall the place was awesome.
We stayed with 10 for a work trip. The location is right in the heart of downtown, which is great; however, that also comes with a significant number of homeless individuals very close to the property (including sleeping on our front step). The manager was very responsive and tried his best to help. Just know that you will be interacting with squatters right outside your door.
House is central to everything you need by foot or scooter. Perfect set up inside for small or large groups. Make sure front door is locked at all times, as neighbors from the homeless shelter congregate on the front steps of the house.
Me and some friends visited the bourbon trail. The location of the house made it easy to visit the surrounding distilleries. We were also able to walk to 4th street live and even New Lou. The house reminded us of something from Alice and Wonderland, different rooms and doors through the house, we enjoyed learning the layout of the place. Everything was clean and organized and we enjoyed are stay.
We had a fantastic experience staying at this beautiful historic home in downtown Louisville. The house itself is impeccably clean, tastefully furnished, and full of character—exactly what you'd hope for in a historic property. It was also incredibly comfortable and spacious, easily accommodating our team of seven, with everyone enjoying their own separate space to relax and recharge. The host was outstanding—extremely responsive and kind throughout our stay. We had a small hiccup with parking (which was due to an external factor and not the host’s fault), but it was addressed quickly and professionally. We truly appreciated the level of care and communication. The location couldn’t be better—close to all that downtown Louisville has to offer, while the house still provided a quiet and peaceful retreat at the end of each day. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay in the city!
We were impressed from the beginning with the communication and ease of getting our questions answered--great job Eugene. The house is in a great location for walking to many activities. We had plenty of room for 12 single guys. We had all of the amenities needed. Very happy--thank you
We came to Louisville for bourbon tours and a fantasy football draft. House worked great as there were 13 of us and there were plenty of beds so we all had our own. There were kitchens and common areas on every floor. The house is right across the street from the Omni and within a 1 mile walk from a lot of distilleries, bars and restaurants. Host and property mgmt team were very reachable.

Gorgeous/Plentiful Space in a City
The house is beautiful and there was plenty of room for our four families to spread out but also come together in the second floor living area. A few things that could improve the experience would be having the house cleaner spend a little extra time cleaning the floors. The bottoms of socks were black after the first night. Second, the listing said four FULLY Equipped Kitchens which I took to mean they all had a stove/oven when only one had them. They did offer hot plates in all kitchens so we did okay with those. The parking situation was a challenge as there always seemed to be someone parked in the designated spots. But, overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Howard Hardy House.
The Howard Hardy house was outstanding! The pictures do not do it justice - it was much more spacious and comfortable in person. We celebrated a 21st birthday and a 61st birthday on the trail. The house was perfect for the 4 married couples and the 4 single young men. Plenty of room for all to congregate together, but also everyone had their own space when desired. All the distilleries and restaurants we wanted to go to were walkable from the house so no one had to drive. Location was great, but all downtown Louisville was rough. No problems walking around in the morning, but late afternoon and into the evening would have been scary alone or with just a few. We were fine because of all the young strong men in our group. Once we were back in the house for the night we felt secure with all the different locking mechanisms provided. Everyone slept great with the noise machines and very comfortable beds. The heating and air units were top notch - sometimes in a historic building this is not the case, but after experiencing how well they controlled the climate indoors I may purchase one for my own home. This truly is the coolest house in Louisville with so much character but all the modern conveniences. I hope the city addresses some of its issues soon, but in the meantime, the homeowner has done much to insure a pleasant stay in what would otherwise be a 5-star location and neighborhood. Would absolutely book this again.
We had a group of 12 of us stay and everyone couldn’t stop commenting at how large and convenient the space was. Very close to all of the major attractions and would definitely stay here again.
Large house well outfitted for groups of family or friends. Close to Whiskey Row, later night options for food/drinks closeby across the street at the Omni hotel. Lots of communication throughout the stay from the owners. Great stay - thank you!!
Heart of Louisville so everything was walkable. House is huge with plenty of space but enough closed off space for privacy. If I visit Louisville again, I’ll be using this property.
We came here for a bachelor party and everyone's minds are still blown about how neat and unique this property was. Perfect location in walking distance to pretty much everything downtown. Tons of space, and extremely comfortable living conditions. 100% am looking forward to coming back!
