"Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. Just watch out for the “no see ums” insects that get through the mosquito nets in the cabana, but this is true everywhere. Also the ocean is very loud at the cabana but earplugs make it more of a soothing background noise. Overall one of my favorite places to visit and relax."

"We loved this place. Unbelievably wonderful energy. Rooms were beautifully decorated. The grounds were perfectly cared for. Really kind hospitality from every staff member. Food was absolutely incredible. Allowed us to store our luggage while hiking Tayrona and come back and shower in their wondrous outdoor shower. Highly recommend."

I spent half my time exploring the north and the other half in the city center, and this location made navigating both areas seamless. The front desk team was incredible, taking all the stress out of my logistics by coordinating my transportation perfectly. Beyond the convenience, the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the food at the on-site restaurant—both for breakfast and dinner—was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

"The rooms, were clean, however they could seal up the wood better, as mosquitos can get in. The staff are very nice and try their beat. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast and food was great. "
