"The pool was nice, there were many different pools from kids pool, adult pool, and waterslides as well as a pool that overlooks the ocean. Was very beautiful. The grounds and the maintenance they do to keep it beautiful is astonishing. We had a great couples massage at the spa which was probably one of the best I have had. The food was good they can improve on different varieties rather than the same thing everyday, but still good. On my vacation I did however injure myself and no ambulance was called. I did suffer a concussion and possible face fracture waitin on my results. That part they may want to work on since I was past the point of sober. I feel their staff could have done more to assist me. All and all the resort was great. I do not blame staff for the incident, I just wish they would have called an ambulance to have me seen right after. Insurance or not( which I did have). Still have 4 stars because it was great there and I would go back again. "

"Overall my husband and I really enjoyed our time at the Riu Baja California! We had a king bed partial ocean view room. We had some concerns about our initial room but after raising it with the front desk they moved us the following morning to a room that better suited our needs. From there everything about our stay was amazing! The food was really good mostly at the Buffet, Steakhouse (Guacamole), Fusion (Krystal) and Mexican (Agave) restaurants! If you love Asian food I’d skip the Asian restaurant as it wasn’t really that good, the Asian buffet was much better! As for the pools, they were great, lots of room for all guests and the staff were very accommodating to asking for extra shade and umbrellas! The Riu parties at the neighbouring resort were so fun! Highly recommend going to any of them! Special shoutout to Oswaldo, Carlos & JJ from the entertainment team for making our stay so fun! Overall would totally come back to this resort and stay again!"

"rooms have a mildew smell ,management constant harassment for club membership.. pools are cold, hot tubs are warm, not hot at all shortage on staff around Cabanas for service. Restaurant foods mediocre for the price. Room service food good service foods mediocre housemaids concierge very good service valet parking. Good service."

"We loved our stay at Sandos. The property itself is a really nice size. We really liked the layout and the architecture of the buildings being built right into the side of the cliff. The views at the top were spectacular. We especially enjoyed our mornings outside the Cupcake coffee bar. Every restaurant was delicious and the service was top notch. Our days by the pool were nice an relaxing with good energy coming from the entertainment staff and the great playlists! It is definitely not a party resort like some of the other larger ones in the area, which for us we a great thing, but if I was younger and looking for a great night life, it would be dissapointing. We will definitely be back! "

"The front lobby area is a let down compared to the rest of the property. It feels chaotic, however the service is excellent. We loved the beach area the most. Some of the people were getting over served at the poolside swim up bar. It became so loud we could hear them at the beach. It was spring break timeframe. The servers at every meal were excellent. The food was very good. We would stay again. "

"Positive: Beautiful property, clean, staff are amazing, pools are nice, food was ok. Our teens had a blast and loved their pizza. The hotel is family friendly and not a huge party vibe. Negative: #1 complaint was all the empty pool chairs saved by people at 7am. On check-in the front desk immediately hand you over to their sales team and push their vacation membership. Hard rock hotel is on the pacific side and it has a little more wind but not bad. It’s an easy taxi ride to the marina. "
