Lovely castle on the hills!

We have loved this property, it was clean, had everything we needed including coffee, plenty of towels, lots of dishes, even hair mask (!), clean pool which we didn't get to use due to our schedule. I would 1000% recommend this property to anyone looking to stay near the area.

Wonderful stay!

I rented the property to bring my extended family together for Thanksgiving. The property is amazing and full of old world charm. The retro professional kitchen met all of our needs and we had more than enough dining space for 8. We will return to this gem.

The Beautiful Hacienda Castle

My Bridal party stayed here for my wedding weekend. This house is so beautiful and unique every room has a different personality and its truly such an amazing property. The property manager Nick was so helpful with everything. We will be back for sure! Thanks again!

What a treat!

Ever want to live like a 1950’s movie star? Let your imagination run wild between this mission style home, the gorgeous pool, and if you are really lucky the smog will get blown away revealing the mountain range out every window.

Pool with a view!

So unique!! Nick, property manager, was super communicative and helpful. House was well stocked with all kitchen and linen items needed. Our seven adult family members really enjoyed the very private pool. Views of the city from all sides are incredible from the 1200' altitude. Roads to get there are not flat or straight, but the small pain was worth the big gain. Will definitely stay there again if in LA!!

Florida to California

I came from Florida with 10 friends including myself and the property was beautiful. It was perfect size for my group and we had plenty of room. I will say that the constant up and down the mountain was a lot for my group, but we are all from Florida and are used to very flat land. I will say at night, there are no street lights on the mountain and it’s very dark. Our Ubers would speed, and it was terrifying. So if you could rent a car, that would probably be best. Besides that, the view from the top was stunning and the host was very nice and checked in on us via text mid trip to see if we needed anything.

Don't expect friendliness!

Overall, our stay at this proper was a mixed bag. The location was absolutely stunning, as it was nestled atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views. It truly felt like a serene getaway. However, there were a few drawbacks that affected our overall impression. Let's start with the positives - although the kitchen was a bit dated, it was well stocked with all the necessary items. It would have been a delight to cook in if not for the functional issues with the stove/oven. Unfortunately, it wasn't fully operational, which was inconvenient. The bathrooms had been updated, which was a plus. However, there was an important detail that wasn't disclosed in the property description - we discovered signs stating that excess toilet paper should be placed in the trash, not the toilet. It would have been helpful to know this in advance, as it could influence one's decision to stay at the property. One of the main drawbacks of our experience was the property manager. Unfortunately, he wasn't the friendliest or most accommodating individual. He didn't provide sufficient explanations regarding certain aspects of the property, such as the keybox, and he didn't allow for early check-in, which could have enhanced our stay. Additionally, when we inadvertently left a few items behind, his response was not accommodating. Instead of finding a suitable solution, he simply left our belongings in a trash bag and left it at the front door, which was disappointing and unprofessional.

We had a lovely long weekend at the Castle. The home was so lovely and welcoming. The host was very communicative and check in on us. The kitchen was well appointed and we loved cooking in it. The views were stunning no matter where you were in the home.

Breath taking views, our destination plans were very close to the property. Very quiet neighborhood. We were able to eat out at different restaurants, and also bring back groceries to a fully stocked and supplied kitchen. My favorite spot in the house was a back patio where we were able to sit and drink coffee in the mornings and overlook the entire city, including the mountains in the background. Door Dash deliveries were not an issue. The host Nick was accommodating and such pleasure! Definitely a 10 out of 10. Already making plans to book again in the future!Thank You,Marisela

You won't regret it / Great Property

Booked this property for my daughter’s 16th Birthday, I was a little apprehensive at first due to the distance to the sites we visited. We went to Universal Studios, Warner Bros, Queen Mary, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The drive was fine, and maybe added an extra 10 to 15 minutes to other properties I was looking at. Let me tell you, the property is totally worth it. We usually stay at Marriott’s when we travel, and the property was far cheaper than any hotel I could find. Nick, the owner, is awesome and responsive, and as for the property, you'll get lost on the first day. Spacious and beautiful, I mean it when I say. You will not regret it. My daughter did not want to leave. Thanks, Nick, for a great stay. I will definitely be back on my next visit to LA.

THE VIEW!

This was our 2nd Thanksgiving at The Castle. It was even better this year because of the new oven/range. Two large ovens and two sets of stove tops. Induction technology so don't bring your own pans if they are not magnetic. They also supply lots of towels and paper goods. I hate it when owners are skimpy with those. We slept eight but had three more over for Thanksgiving dinner. Wonderful to have space to gather family. The back yard is fenced, so our dogs did fine. There are also wonderful hikes that start just outside the front gate. We'll be back again.Kim

Quite simply, it was stunning, inside and out. It felt like an old-timey Hollywood home where you could almost visualize a fancy party happening around the pool. The rooms were large and roomy, the bedrooms were comfortable, the pool area was great for hanging out, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the view was amazing. Nick, the property contact, was one of the best and highly responsive to all of our needs. The property is at the top of a windy hill, so I would advise arriving during the day to get a lay of the land. There is also no fence around the pool to keep an eye on the little ones.

WOW!!!!

Amazing! The Castle is absolutely beautiful! It is so spacious and feels like home. Kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you need. Beds are comfortable and there are extra sheets and blankets. Lots and lots of towels. The pool is relaxing and clean. Very well cared for. Nick is the most amazing host. Great communication before during and after! View is breath taking. There was a problem with the electrical outlets in the kitchen but Nick told us in advance and even offered to send an electrician right away. We LOVED our stay! Did I mention how awesome Nick was!!!!

Amazing view

First night we seen a rat twice, hot water didnt work upstairs, the dishwasher didnt work and flooded the kitchen floor, the sink was clogged & the linen was dirty in two rooms. Master bedroom was BEAUTIFUL the view was amazing to wake up to every morning.
