Oasis Retreat Extraordinaire!
This property is the perfect retreat for a stay in Los Angeles. Whether you’re on a business trip or a vacation getaway, this is a tranquil place to relax and recharge. It is equipped with everything you need for your time away: a spa-like ambiance, kitchen equipment (if you choose to cook or have dinner in), and a luxurious bed. My husband and I stayed here while attending UCLA’s family weekend. Our days were full with activities on-campus and this retreat was the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. Relax
This property is very clean and covid conscious 👌. It's filled with aromatherapy and little thoughtful touches. There were fresh strawberries, water bottles, coffee, and cream in the fridge. Robes were in the closet and the bathroom filled with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The property was easy to check in and walking distance from Culver City. Just perfect

Relaxing oasis
First time visitors to LA, helping our daughter relocate. Micheal was a gracious host and provide us with lots of ideas on things to do, places to go and to eat. After our days of hectic moves, and playing tourist, it was nice to come back to the studio and just relax in their beautiful garden and watch the birds. Especially loved the hummingbirds.

Wonderful Stay
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days while in town for work and we couldn't have had a better experience. Not only was the property such a delight, but Michael was a phenomenal, and attentive, host. I've never stayed at a place with so much attention to detail! If you may have forgotten something during your travels, I guarantee this property would have it! We weren't lacking at any point during our stay. Truly fantastic.

Hidden Gem, best host
Not only was the property in a safe, central location, but it was spotless, the bed was comfy, very private, and had every thing you’d expect from a 5 star hotel + a full kitchen. Michael and Natty went above and beyond to accommodate me and my boyfriend last minute. Michael also greeted us at the door and personally showed us around the property. They provided some snacks, water, and a bottle of wine upon our arrival which was truly just going above and beyond. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts—they’ve got awesome stories if you get a chance to chat with them too. And a message from the boyfriend, “it was incredible, Michael is awesome.”

Vacation significantly enhanced by the marvels of this quiet little corner of paradise
Michael and Natty sure do a fantastic job creating magic around this little corner of paradise in LA. The amenities offered in the advertisement are surpassed by reality. The space is cozy, impeccably kept, filled with aromas, flavors and all sort of nice goodies that the hosts prepare for the incoming guest, which include a nice bottle of wine, assorted munchies and aromatic candles. Then Michael overwhelms you with more information about what to do and see in LA than you can possible manage. Best Birthday getaway!
The bungalow guest house is tucked in a quiet neighborhood; walking distance to great food and easy access to all of our planned activities. Our hosts (Michael and Natty) provided a clean and comfortable home away from home. They exceeded our expectations and knowing our trip was a milestone birthday they added sweet welcoming touches. Our hosts were easy to communicate with throughout our booking and our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again if we travel back to the Culver City area.

Personal things stolen out of guesthouse, owner took no responsibility and lied to protect self
As a renter of any establishment, one should expect at a base minimum, the security and safety of their well-being and belongings. Unfortunately in this case, the owner perpetrated a massive breach of ethics and contract by allowing someone to illegally go into the property and remove highly valuable personal belongings. It is ethically repugnant to take such actions and then lie and malign to cover up what is a serious crime. Taking steps to smear your guests good name by ignoring and taking no ownership of the initial crime of breaking and entering is a very serious offense. While the guesthouse itself was beautiful, the owners morally lacking behavior, slander, and malignant of a guests character speaks volumes regarding the theft of irreplaceable intellectual property and highly valuable personal items. No appropriate remedy was offered and to this day owner is still in possession of renter’s personal property. Owner is in clear violation of renter’s constitutional rights and as such may be liable in legal proceedings to come. I ask that Vrbo mediate with owner to return the rest of the guest’s belongings. Legal proceedings against this establishment will be based on owners cooperation and honesty regarding the events that occurred during the time frame in question.

The review by this guest is inaccurate and untrue. Please see the multitude of outstanding reviews of the property and the management of the property. This guest from the beginning failed to comply with basic house rules. She was a difficult guest on many levels. When the check out date arrived, she was uncooperative, not communicative or coherent and did not depart. It forced us to cancel the next booked reservation. Despite repeated efforts to make the situation better, this guest then just made up wild and wandering stories and then disappeared for weeks. It was only later that it was discovered that she had prior and subsequent problems with the local authorities and was incarcerated outside of the property as a result. We found out as it made the local LA news. The police report is public states under your name in the local Sheriff’s office. Two arrests in three weeks. We feel as Five Star hosts it’s much more important to expose you as a bad traveler to other hosts then it would be for us worrying about the review you post. This was simply a bad guest who was apparently just telling lies and untruths to get away. It is unfortunate that she chose that path despite our efforts to make everything right. It is our custom and practice to make the stay at the property perfect and wonderful for every guest. We keep the property very clean, disinfected during covid19 and it’s always in a safe and secure wonderful condition. Our guests are always satisfied, and we intend to keep it that way. West LA Hideaway
Great location for us. Spent this visit mostly in Westwood and Sawtelle Japantown. Peaceful, quite, and friendly neighborhood. Had our class B motorhome so we had to park on the cross street due to parking restrictions. It wasn’t a issue for us, only an additional 2 house walk. Hosts left plenty of recommendations for local dining which was appreciated. Would stay here again.

Century City Base
The location is wonderful for getting to both Century City and downtown Culver City. Lots of convenient restaurants etc in the vicinity. Michael and Natty are great hosts. Very communicative and left a bottle of wine and some snacks for us when we arrived. The guesthouse is cozy but comfortable and there is a nice outdoor seating area in front. The Guesthouse was very clean and it was great having in unit laundry. Parking is also very easy and we never even had to look around. Would recommend for business folks looking for a better long term stay option relative to a hotel.

Cramped overpriced space with lots of rules
I stayed at this cottage with my boyfriend, and we would not recommend it. The cottage was very cramped for two people. My boyfriend and I are average heights and sizes, but we found the bathroom, shower, bed and kitchen to be extremely tiny. It was hard to feel comfortable in such a cramped space. This place also has a no refund policy immediately after you book (we booked many weeks in advance of our reserved date), which was very unusual and unnecessarily strict. After we booked, the hosts sent us a list of MANY rules and extra fees that apply if we broke any rules. Examples: we must squeegee the shower after each use; we must take the trash out every day; etc. This was another reason why we never felt comfortable in this place. There was a ton of dust on the ceiling fan, which worried me as to how thoroughly this place was cleaned. The bed frame also has a wide wooden plank along the perimeter of the bed. Due to the cramped space around the bed, my boyfriend and I both jammed our feet/legs against this bed frame. There also isn’t much privacy. The front door has a window that spans the length of the door. There was a covering, but it didn’t cover the entire window so someone from outside could easily peer into the cottage. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable changing in the cottage. One of the rules we had to follow was to not walk on the neighbor’s driveway to get from the street to the cottage, so we needed to walk on the lawn the entire time. The morning we checked out, the sprinklers had just watered the lawn. That meant we had to walk and roll our luggage through wet grass to load our car. Finally, the cost of this cottage was extremely high compared to other places in the area. Within 24 hours after we booked this cottage, we found a more spacious, modern condo in the same area for a cheaper price, but we couldn’t cancel this reservation due to their strict no refund policy.

Elizabeth , Thank you for your comments. We understand that you asked about parking your brand new TESLA electric car in our driveway. Unfortunately we try our best to accommodate all our guests but since we explained we were out of the country dealing with our family member that passed away from Covid19 we could not accommodate you since you asked us last minute. We realize that set the tone for your experience. You are the first guests in 75 straight “five star” reviews to write such a detailed review. As you made us aware from the start that you are a lawyer you would have read the booking policy prior to booking. The policy is set up during covid19 as a strict policy intentionally as we take a lot of risk opening up the property to others when the pandemic is surging in Los Angeles at its highest rate. The rules are are also intentional so you take responsibility to discard any hazardous waste of your own for the safety of others including our housekeepers. There is a stone pathway throughout the property that you can follow so you would not need to walk on the grass at any time. The sprinklers are scheduled for 6am for five minutes so you must be getting up exactly at that time. Sorry for the inconvenience between 6 am and 6:05 In regards to the bed, it’s a brand new Queen size posterpedic platform bed. So you must be use to a king size in your own home. This is a guest house bungalow. We are clear about how we present the accuracy. It clearly states on the profile before you booked. Guess a Queen is not suitable for you. The Bungalow is also set in a private setting with no view from anyone or any other properties. Not sure what your concerns were about privacy since no one was on property except you. In regards to not walking on the neighbors property or driveway that seems like an obvious one. It’s called being respectful of our neighbors. In legal terms it’s called trespassing. We simply remind all our guests so they can be respectful of our neighbors. All you need to do was roll the luggage along the path and carry it to your car for approximately 50-75 feet. Not too difficult and no complaints from 75 previous guests. Some as old as 85. We get it some guests simply like to complain. And some are simply in need to book The Four Seasons Hotel with valet and room service. We suggest that for your next trip. Namaste, Michael & Natty

What an amazing peaceful setting. This stay was 5 stars from entering the property. Every tiny detail to make your stay the best is thought of. Our Favorite LA Studio
We are paranoid about the pandemic, and unlike a large hotel, this quiet haven feels perfectly covid-safe when we visit family in LA. The well-equipped little kitchen lets us avoid eating out as well. Street parking is easy, the bed comfy, the wine delicious! This was our second stay, and we expect many more.

Bungalow in a pretty garden
The Bungalow was very inviting, comfortable and quiet. I loved having the open skylight which provided a nice breeze during my very warm days there. The ceiling fan was a real help too. Since I was quarantining before moving to my daughters I actually used the kitchen which was clean and very well equipped. My adventure each day was a morning walk and an evening walk and the neighborhoods surrounding the bungalow were fun to explore. I always felt safe even when I came back after dark. The owner, Michael, was very helpful and a pleasure to speak with. I would definitely come back to this lovely location and I highly recommend it to those visiting Los Angeles.

My wife and I enjoyed our week in LA at Michael and Natty’s guest house. We loved that they provided high end toiletries, soft and comfortable towels and sheets and little touches around the house to make it feel cozy. Michael was very accommodating during our stay and even helped me jump start my car one morning when it failed to start. Great location as well. Central to everything we wanted in LA, yet quiet and peaceful in a neighborhood devoid of homeless.

A Peaceful Place to Alight
From the first to the last contact—communication with the host to the time in the bungalow we were more than pleasantly surprised and deeply satisfied to find such a peaceful, clean, and soothing space to settle in during outings and visits to family. From the delightful garden to the special touches—wine, coffee, snacks and healing oils and toiletries —we felt spoiled and grateful for a respite from the hubbub of freeways and city life. Couldn’t recommend it more. My husband who is not a big fan of AirBNB generally said it was the best place he’d ever stayed and certainly a calmer experience than hotelInvg it, even though we did like the robot our last stay came with. Me—I’ll take the personal touch anytime, and that’s what Mike and Natty offer.

Serenity and privacy- livibg everly Hills
A bungalow with its own private garden entrance, a full kitchen and the bonus of a high speed washer/ dryer prompts guests to escape from the risks of covid travel. We were delighted by the variety of take-out cuisine- Indian, Chinese and Italian- within minutes of the property. Strongly recommend the dozens of inventive Japanese restaurants on Sawtelle St- a short drive from the bungalow. The challenge of this bungalow visit- which is akin to living in a bubble- is to both return home without gaining weight- and to prepare for the harsh reality that living on the outside remains risky.

Perfection During Covid
This is indeed an enchanting bungalow, hidden away in an exquisite garden, alive with birds! A quiet, lovely neighborhood. It was exactly what we needed during a short visit to our newborn grandchild; we had zero concerns about transmitting any virus, since Michael and Natty have taken so many covid precautions. The tiny kitchen is fully equipped. These hosts have thought of everything!

Castle Heights
The place was perfect. I was in the Los Angeles area for work during the pandemic and the little studio was perfect. Kitchen, laundry, plenty of space, extremely well kept and clean. VERY quiet. A little peaceful oasis after some 12 hour days. Plenty of shopping for groceries nearby. Very close to Beverly Hills should you feel the need and a short drive to Malibu and the coast. Michael and Natty are excellent, professional hosts.

Great Location and Spotlessly Clean
My Mom stayed in this lovely home when I was having my third baby and she enjoyed walks in the beautiful neighborhood, sat out in the charming garden and was a short walk from us. The property is very centrally located with grocery stores nearby and other necessities in addition to beaches and other LA areas. The bungalow was all that was advertised in all respects. The owners were very available at all times for questions and the place was immaculately clean.

LA Guest House
Terrific Location for LA. Easy access to most sights and lots of good restaurants.Unfortunately, Covid 19 put an end to dining and sight seeing. The cottage, however, was charming and very clean. The owners went out of their way to make my visit enjoyable by providing wine and food to get started for the first day -Berries and yogurt with plenty of coffee. They also provided lists of local activities and restaurants. Great spot to see LA! I look forward to coming again next time I come to Los Angeles!

Quiet Peaceful Retreat
My husband and I stayed at Michael’s bungalow property for 10 days on a medical stay and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. There was always parking available on the street. It is close to the airport so it wasn’t too far out of the way. The bungalow itself was very private and quiet, tucked in the back corner of the property. We filled the fridge in the kitchenette and made meals for most days, and it was very easy to settle in. The kitchen was completely stocked with all of the necessities. The soaps and lotions complimentary in the bathroom were lovely, very good quality products. We loved the candles and essential oils diffuser, we felt pampered and relaxed. The laundry was a huge bonus, we didn’t have to pack a million clothes in our suitcase. The bed was very comfy! Which was important as I rested most of our stay. Location was close to many cool spots and conveniently close to the interstate if you wanted to go on a day trip to Malibu or Topanga. Michael gave us our privacy but at the same time was also extremely thorough and prompt with his communication with us, which is what we wanted so we were very happy. I would recommend this property highly and stay here again.

Long lovely stay
I spent 2 months in this lovely bungalow with super comfortable bed, fabulous shower, washer/dryer and quiet garden. What more could you ask? Easy walk to public transportation- buses and expo line metro. Who needs to fight the 405! The owner was always available but not intrusive. Thank you for your thoroughness!

Christmas Holiday Visit
This Castle Heights location was wonderful! Very pristine and tranquil. The owner, Michael, cares about the property and the experience of his guests. Perfect Location and Cozy Space in LA

Fantastic stay!
I have extreme allergies, and this is one of the few places I have been able to stay without any issues. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space! We really enjoyed having use of a clean kitchen with oils, salt and pepper and other nice touches here and there. The location is perfect, close to everything with plenty of street parking. Michael sent us things to do around LA each day. Perfect place!

This was my second time staying in Michael & Natty's guesthouse and everything was wonderful! It is a wonderful, relaxing, quiet place to return to each day. We had a lovely stay at this gorgeous and beautifully furnished apartment. There was plenty of privacy and especially liked that we could come and go as we pleased with our own entrance and key. The owner Michael was very kind and helpful with daily email suggestions about places to eat and visit in the area. The apartment is well stocked with everything needed and more! Loved the beautiful garden "oasis" where we enjoyed our morning coffee outside each day. This is a find! Would very much like to return next time we're in LA area.

Beautiful and tranquil space
The host is super responsive and considerate. The space is beautiful and they’ve thought of everything to make my stay comfortable. I love the nice toiletries (shampoos and soaps) and there are a ton of candles to make my time in the space spa-like. They even left me snacks and some wine for my arrival which was so nice after a long trip. The bed was SO comfortable and the pillows and sheets so nice. I loved that I could listen to music using the blue tooth speaker and being able to watch TV from bed was luxurious. Grateful for my time in this space. Would definitely book again.
