Manage expectations: The Live hotel is not in a particularly glamorous or upscale neighborhood, hence the 3 star rating. That said, I never felt unsafe walking around the property - even at night. We went for Thai food at midnight across the street (nothing else was open) and - gasp - survived! There are homeless around, and if that bothers you, stay elsewhere. I liked the fact that we were near GREAT Korean food, and not far from the convention center (~$12 Uber ride) AND found a hotel with secure parking. Decent breakfast, and the Tom n Toms coffee shop is a nice perk. (pun intended) Property is under renovation, so be ready for "work in progress" experiences. Our room needed to be aired out for a few hours, but thanks to the patio access door, made it easy and the weather was spectacular. (fumes! Damn near knocked me over when I opened the door. new carpet? Paint?) Oh - Drive a smaller vehicle if you can (garage is snug), but it wouldn't be impossible to park a 1/2 ton truck, if you absolutely had to. Overall, I would stay here again - you should, too ! (just don't show up with 5 star expectations for your 2 star budget.)

This place is awful. It smells. The air conditioner barely works, the beds are hard as rocks AND the pillows are hard as well. The carpet is not clean. The carpet in the hallways are buckled and old. This place was horrible. Will never come back.
