The owners Colin and Liz are very welcoming at their lovely property.Fantastic location, fantastic breakfasts, spotless room- what’s not to like ??
Would definitely stay again if visiting the very pretty town of Looe.
What a lovely couple Liz and Colin, make you feel welcome immediately on arrival. Permit car parking close by. Comfortable room and lovely food with good selection. Bar and lounge area for relaxation.
Really enjoyable stay.
Excellent B&B. Very friendly lovely hosts. Complimentary parking permit. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic breakfast. All local amenities in walking distance.
Overs a wonderful place to stay.
The breakfasts were fabulous, as was the wonderful view from our window. Colin and Liz were friendliness itself, and attended to all our needs. The only thing we didn’t like was beyond their control - the horrible noise from motorcyclists on Saturday night.
Great place for a couple of days, great view from property over estuary and boats, only one problem was the stairs to the top floor, nightmare with all the bags checking in, (young mans game) not for the infirm.
Colin and Liz were just amazing from the minute of booking, through helpful and informative comms, to the check-in process and support throughout our stay. Breakfast was just incredible, great options, prepared with great care with an eye on quality and local produce. Colin and Liz are a fountain of local knowledge and are happy to share recommendations on things to do and places to eat. All in all an awesome stay in a beautifully located guesthouse. Thank you!!
We had a lovely stay, and the little touches ,we had a gift of prosecco in our room as it was our 30th wedding anniversary, which was a lovely thought.
Liz and Colin were lovely and so generous and just so friendly xx wonderful place to stay ❤️
I had an excellent stay here while popping down for Polperro Festival. The service was very good and the breakfast, in particular, was noteworthy. Well-cooked, well-presented and wonderful thick bacon!
Modest sized room, but in an excellent location, with great view, good parking solution, and lovely water-view bar area. Excellent breakfast, so be hungry.
A very homely and beautifully presented guest house. Very friendly staff and amazing breakfasts. Would definitely return but maybe ask for room on first floor as tricky dragging case to third floor. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Great for those wanting to walk coastal footpath.
Lovely situated hotel with an amazing breakfast and friendly hosts. Great location and just a 2 minute walk over the short bridge to lots of restaurants, shops, cafés and bars. It was really quiet and the mattress was so comfortable. We ate at Papa Nino one night and had a fantastic meal so thank you Colin and Liz for providing suggestions. It was a 3 minute walk to an allocated parking space so no trouble at all. It was easy to use the unloading bay on the Quay to pop the bags up the small slope to the hotel door. Great views too.
We were warmly welcomed by Colin, the friendly and helpful host, who provided clear directions for parking and explained the access to the building, as the reception is unmanned. The hotel itself was of an older style, featuring low doorways which caused minor inconveniences as we occasionally bumped our heads. The rooms, while small and a bit chilly, were clean and equipped with en-suite bathrooms. Despite being somewhat cramped, the room offered a fantastic view of the harbour.
Our mornings started with a freshly cooked, well-presented breakfast that met our dietary preferences, complete with fresh coffee refills from our host. The dining area boasted a breathtaking view of the River Looe. The hotel also included a unique 'honesty bar' with a selection of drinks and enjoyable music, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance.
Despite some minor issues, we found our stay enjoyable overall due to the excellent service and charming surroundings. We would definitely consider staying again.
We absolutely loved our stay and reckon the Old Bridge House is probably the best B&B in Looe. Our room was attractive, not very large but cosy and very clean, with a marvellous view of the harbour. The shower was super and the en suite bathroom well appointed. Our hosts were most welcoming with tea and cake, and looked after us well throughout our week. Superb breakfasts, although too much for me at times, but a wonderful choice, with an amazing array of fruit at the buffet, and delicious cooked dishes as well. And we loved Looe as well, and will be back we hope, to stay at the Old Bridge house again. Thank you to liz and Colin.
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The views over the water are beautiful and the guesthouse is only a short walk over the bridge for local shops, pins and restaurants.
The room itself had everything we needed and as others have described, the breakfast is very tasty - made even better with the view.
Although there is no parking on site, we were able to drop bags off outside and were provided with a permit for the local car park which is only a minute away
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend
Great location for the town and also the heritage trails.
The Rooms and the accommodation were excellent and the Old bridge house Had it’s own bar with honesty box !
