"Beautiful hotel, stayed 5 or 6 times in past 7-8 yrs. Always very good. We did have an unfortunate incident with a bar meal the first night which I have notified the hotel directly about. I will say it was nothing to do with the service or bar staff They were great. The room we had was on the 5th floor. Very spacious with lovely bathroom and jacuzzi. The view from the wrap around, floor to ceiling, corner windows was fantastic. Total peace and quiet - which is about the important feature to us. Parking is always busy but never a problem. Breakfast can be very busy at peak times. Again the service is excellent. Generally the cooked breakfast is lovely. The exception being the scrambled eggs which did not taste or feel authentic I would still stay any time and recommend this hotel to others."

"This cottage is a rare find for those seeking peace and tranquility. The only man-made sounds you hear are from a distant occasional train or slow moving pleasure craft on the river. There is no passing traffic as the property is near the end of a long, private lane. Silent, however, it is not. The cacophony of birdsong is extraordinary, especially mornings and evenings. Those with a more experienced ear than me will detect dozens of birds. The outdoor space is fantastic for relaxing or barbecuing and if you have a furry friend they have well over an acre of secure ground to roam in. Inside, a small, well equipped kitchen awaits and you'll find a generous dining room and table. The two bedrooms are generous with very comfortable beds and pillows and separated from each other for extra privacy. The lounge/sun room is lovely with a large L-shaped sofa to accommodate four adults. Internet and WiFi were perfectly adequate for our purposes (2 phones and a laptop). Our host was very gracious, even remembering to bring us an anniversary card as I'd mentioned we were celebrating in my initial message. Only thing to note is to make sure you follow the directions to the property accurately as our satnav didn't recognise the private lane as a road. It truly is as remote as you could wish for yet only 10 minutes from Carrick on Shannon."

(Heating/hot water etc)Poor communication with owner, blurred phone numbers.Main electricitybox exposed.Housekeeping outside on the premises :poor. Inside allright, but Cleaning lady had short notice before we arrived and so did only the essentails.On the brights side:In the end everything was working, eventually we even found some food for the cat (!)Very quiet.Good that we met the neighbour while searching for the place. Friendly man who we could call on just in case. Reassuring"

"Wunderschönes Haus mit toller Ausstattung! Es ist alles da, was man braucht und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Location ist sehr ruhig gelegen und ein guter Startpunkt um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Wir haben in den Betten sehr gut geschlafen, auch das Klima im Haus war sehr angenehm. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war völlig unkompliziert! Wir haben die Zeit am Lough Ree sehr genossen und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!"
