Hi, our stay was average. Motel pretty clean, in and out. The only negative with our room, which was for 3 adults was, we really wanted a cup of tea, very happy that they gave us some milk when we asked for it but when we got back to our room, we found we had no cups or plates or cutlery, so we just went without. Then we went for dinner in the bar. I had a butter chicken, this was beautiful but other 2 had porterhouse steak, one was beautiful the other was very grissly and fatty and not enjoyable to eat, so she just ate the chips and salad. We played pool with some of the regulars, then sang some songs before going back to room. Lastly we tried turning tv to channels in room with double bed but we couldn’t get it going, just stayed on sky sports, so had to just go to sleep. Hopefully this helps the owners to take on board what has been said but for now not sure if we would stay here again. Simon / Josie and Alex

Boarding house type set up. Shared bathrooms and kitchen. Bedroom was very clean and set up with TV and sink although quite small. Walls paper thin woke up to people coming and going and coughing through the wall. Alright for one night.

We were desperate to find a place to stay after the Cook Strait ferry docked later than expected. Wellington booked out! This place was run down, chewing gum behind the curtains, heater didn’t work, and the women’s shower wouldn’t heat up! Shared bathroom facilities but we knew that when we booked. Restaurant and pub attached was quiet but the chef wasn’t available. Front staff made us a toastie and was very helpful. Breakfast was good In the morning. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

Perfect for a quiet sleep, rooms back from road noise. Simple food menue that wont break your pocket. Locked nightly parking. Price on the higher side as a single traveler but for one night is okay. The kitchen is like home, bread, cerials, yogurt, (only strawberry) not for me and juice, apple in this case. Hot water coffee tea, all there.
