When the hotel was last renovated, they used a Philippines-Industrial style and it looks very pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be maintained or cleaned properly. Everywhere a chair or sofa or mattress touches the wall, there are marks or it is discolored (dirty). I did not wear my slippers in the room for the first few hours of our stay and my feet were literally black from the floor. The whole place is just superficially cleaned, no deep cleaning. The food at the restaurant is fresh and good but you will pay airport pricing. The shuttle from the sea port was free and accommodating. Both ends of the hallways are open to outside so you will hear motorcycles and tricycles all times of the day and night. The hotel is not really a walkable distance from the boulevard and that is really the main attraction of Dumaguete. Staff was very nice and the design of the hotel is pleasing. It just needs a deep cleaning and adjustment to their restaurant pricing to be a contender.
