"DO NOT BOOK! Security deposit scam. This property requires a security deposit but refuses to refund it upon departure, even though the room was left spotless and in its original condition. The owner completely ignores all follow-up calls and messages. I have contacted Expedia customer support to request a full investigation and to have this fraudulent property removed from their platform. Please avoid this place to save your money."

"Avoid property under this host. They requested a deposit paid before check-in via bank transfer because there wouldn’t b any front desk for check-in. That was fine. And it stated it would do deposit refund 7 days after check-out with no damage reported. I checked out 5th April, so far no one contacted me regarding any damage found. And I have provided my bank account details for refund on 11th April. But they never responded. Today is 21st April already. I have contacted hotels.com and they said...

"A wonderful hotel full of character, with lovely staff and very clean. My room was huge, although I cannot comment if all rooms were of a similar size. The food was excellent and the quiet location was lovely. The only criticism I have is that my stay was only 2 days- I wish I stayed longer! "

"Clean, newly refurbished room BUT very small rooms, the door to the room didn’t even open fully because it hit the bed. This being said, I also don’t think they sell themselves very well. The ‘Lounge’ is a communal area (maybe more like a hostel) that has kitchen facilities & a vending machine that has a selection of drinks & snacks (including alcohol) It was about 15 min walk from the station & about 20 mins to the Old Town the other side of the river. "
