"This was the perfect cozy getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. McGregor is a cute little river town surrounded by beautiful bluffs. There were several state parks and other cute nearby towns to explore. The Chalet was perfect for us. Jason was easy to reach and quick to respond to messages. "

"This is a very nice property. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The handicap shower was very large with a seat and adjustable shower head. Breakfast was the usual with eggs, sausage, tater tots and breakfast burritos, waffles, cereals, yogurt, toast and bagels. The only downfall is the parking lot is very small, and you may need to park on the street, also the trains run very close and do honk their horn. We have stayed here before and will again."

"We really enjoyed visiting with Jason at the Sweet Shop during check in. Hearing about Mc Greger history and future plans was very interesting. A fun place to spend an overnight on the Great River Road!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. House was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. Beds were comfortable. I have a bad back and really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub after a day of hiking and also enjoyed the massage chair. Host was very quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again. "

"This cottage was very small and cozy inside, but it had everything you might need to have a comfortable, enjoyable weekend. It was thoughtfully decorated and was clean. The kitchen had everything you might need to cook with. The location was easy to find and check in directions were easy to follow. The outside porch had plenty of seating and extra chairs for the fire pit. There is a window above where the kitchen table sits that does not have a curtain. Vehicles drive by at night and their lights shine in the window. We had to cover the window with a sheet. Mini blinds or a curtain is needed for this window. The sitting area by the main TV is a little small, but we had it work. Overall, I am very happy with this cottage. It is in a great location and was very comfortable and clean. "

"Room/Bathroom clean. Comfortable bed. Very quiet in spite of being right on the highway. Stayed two nights…bed made and fresh towels following my first night’s stay. Weather was hot, but the room was comfortably cool. I would stay here again. Good location. Friendly staff. "
