"Such a great local experience. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Loved it! The building needs some updates (loved the charm and wouldn't change the style or architecture but just update the paint and flooring). Overall, so great!"

"Beaitiful castle in a stunning setting. The rhododendrons were all in bloom and there are magical walks along the paths through the grounds to the nearby island. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with fresh local produce. Staff were all lovely to us and we had a really special weekend. "

"This hotel is very tired, in need of upgrading, rooms were cold and shower was just a trickle. We were on the third floor, and the weather was very windy and wet which we know the hotel can’t do anything about, the weather but had we were in the top floor it was horrendous and there is obviously something wrong with the roof. Which they need to get looked at. Breakfast was buffet but the hot food was cold. Bar man was lovely as was the waiter in the restaurant. There was 5 other rooms in our party and they all complained about the cold rooms."

"Breakfast was excellent with good variety of choice. Spa facilities excellent but unlikely to use on a Saturday as busy. Surprised from a health and safety point of view to see a group of six drinking alcohol in the jacuzzi .."

"The breakfast, that you have to order the day before was excellent, plentyfull hot & well cooked. The young waitress was helpful, attentive & very pleasant. Parking was excellent, numerous spaces & behind hotel & safe."

"Room was clean. Up some very steep stairs. Not the most comfortable of beds. Very small en-suite. Functional for a single night nothing longer. "

"Our room was lovely and the air-conditioning and heating system worked well. We very much enjoyed the spa. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We did not really care for the dinner menu so didn’t eat there."
