"The greatest assets to the hotel are the staff. We came across two lovely members of staff who were great. Breakfast was good with also a varied choice with local produce, straight out of Loch Fyne. Parking is directly opposite and free. Tarbert is a bit tired like lots of British resorts but is a charming little place and perfect for a one or two night stay."

"I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The entire place felt very dated and had a musty, unpleasant smell throughout. The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. The bedding was poor quality, with worn pillowcases and visible dirty marks (as shown in my photos). This is simply not an acceptable standard for any hotel. The floors were also dirty, with bits of debris everywhere — I felt I had to keep my shoes on at all times. There were also visible cobwebs around the bed area, which only added to the feeling that the room had not been properly cleaned. Facilities were very limited. There was nowhere to get a hot or cold drink, and the bar was closed, which was inconvenient and disappointing. Overall, the decor was very dark and uninviting, and the lack of cleanliness and basic facilities made for a very poor experience. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made"

"We had an amazing stay at the Crinan hotel. The views are spectacular and the food is delicious. I would say that the hotel is a little old but that is part of its charm."

"Lovely clean dog friendly room. Would benefit from some details on the resort ie dog walks or local attractions. The hotel is remote, we had planned to get there by the ferry but this was not running and had to drive, not the best roads as not a single track fan. We would stay again "
