Top Loch Fyne Hotel Reviews
Tregortha
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful B&B. Really friendly and the full cooked Scottish breakfast was done brilliantly (poached egg, plus not greasy sausages/haggis etc). Would recommend. Nice views from the breakfast dining area towards the island of Inchmamock."
Stonefield Castle Hotel
8/10 Good
"It’s all about the food and the restaurant view. Yes it’s a lovely old building with great service but then the bed is uncomfortable and the pillows really lumpy but it all is fine because the restraint food service and food are outstanding."
Portavadie
10/10 Excellent
"Portavadie was a wonderful stay, It takes a while to drive there but once arrive we barely wanted to leave, and both pedestrian and car ferries (although the car ferry is often broken down) are right there. The room at the Lodge was perfect!! The restaurant including breakfast is a wonderful space, the menu choices, quality of food, and staff are all just great. The Spa is another great space, and the general views make you feel you have truly escaped. Will come again!! Thank you Portavedie."
Restored watermill with stunning views of Loch Fyne
10/10 Excellent
"Lindsaig is a beautiful and well restored mill! Fantastic views, and sitting on the balcony with binoculars quickly became addictive. A daily visit from a herd of deer, friendly cows, and down at the beach we saw lion's mane and barrel jellyfish which were great to see, but be careful if going in the water. A lovely riverside walk down to the very secluded beach, but we'd recommend wellies and caution especially in heavy rain as you have to walk through the river at points. The hosts were so welcoming, and left a delicious loaf of homemade bread, very much appreciated bottle of milk, tea and coffee and bottle of prosecco and they were on hand when we thought something was wrong (turned out it wasn't anyway). The Mill has everything you could possibly need for a home from home for the week. The massive copper bathtub was a huge highlight, and we were happy to be patient while it filled. The water pressure isn't good, but we expected it due to the location. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was top quality. Garden is a secure and fantastic space for children and dogs, just be careful as there is a little side gate that children could get out of if unattended. ample parking. Dog bowls, towels and blankets left which were really handy. Having a profoundly autistic and learning disabled child can make holidays extremely stressful, and something we can end up regretting, but he thrived at the mill and our week here was the rest we all desperately needed! Thank you x"
The Grey Gull Hotel
8/10 Good
"The bed was a bit hard but the room was clean with coffee and tea provided. Staff were friendly and breakfast was a variety of hot and cold foods."
Anchor Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff very helpful and able to deal with all questions. Good breakfast made to order and very good dinner in hotel restaurant. Free parking is available all along the street; all local amenities are easily accessible on foot. The internal fabric of the hotel is rather tired and worn, and would benefit from some refurbishment; fixtures and fittings show some - largely cosmetic - wear and tear which might be better maintained. This would make it more aesthetically attractive."
Tranquil location, waterside, pet friendly
8/10 Good
"Musselshell is a lovely lodge in a great location, overlooking Loch Fyne. Warm & cosy with comfortable sofas and beds - a little tired in places but met our needs. Views from the lodge are wonderful & the large estate grounds are interesting to wander through. We fed and really enjoyed watching the woodland birds on the decking. Saw lots of seabirds on the loch too. We fished on a couple of evenings and took late night walks along the estate roads, looking and listening out for wildlife, also caught footage of a badger in the garden on our trail camera, having put out some peanuts to see what might be around. Food at Oyster Catcher pub was so good, definitely worth a visit and the welcome was warm & friendly! Portavadie is very picturesque, not too far away with a very nice restaurant & outside seating area, where we had a drink sat looking over the marina. Adjacent to the marina is Glenan Wood, an Atlantic rainforest, and worth taking a walk through, on to the beach and surrounded by wonderful views. We were lucky enough to spot a beaver at the Argyll Beaver Centre in Knapdale - a tidy drive away but a lovely place for walking around the lochs and a great visitor centre - small but with very helpful & knowledgeable staff. On the whole, an enjoyable week in Argyll & Bute & Ballimore Estate lodge was a good choice for us - well priced accommodation in a really nice location."

"Alojamiento cómodo y muy tranquilo."
Janeville, waterfront, scenic, Loch Fyne views
8/10 Good
"We had a very enjoyable stay for five days at Janeville. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the location is excellent overlooking the loch, although the heating was not working effectively, so it was a little chilly at night. There could be more hanging space for clothes and provision for five/six people. Overall, we experienced good value for money."
