"It's a shame that there are some downsides to the cottage, otherwise it would be the ideal place to stay. It has a reasonable kitchen, a lounge area big enough for two, a nice bathroom and shower, convenient parking right outside for one car and a very effective towel rail, although to make it work, the entire heating system had to be on, and with no thermostat in the bedroom (during my stay), it soon became far too hot. "The hotel is in an ideal position at the edge of the village. It has ample parking. The rooms are well maintained although the single room is small. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast has a good variety and caters for most diets. The bar area was comfortable and clean and although prices were on the high side there was a good selection of quality drinks. I would recommend this hotel and will probably stay there again"

"We had a great stay in this lovely characterful cottage, immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could need. Sally’s communication was excellent and detailed. The only comment we would have was that the double bed was rather too firm. The location was perfect for our purpose, which was to join a charity walk up Snowdon via the Rhydd Ddu path, only a couple of minutes walk away. We were only a short drive from so many other lovely popular Welsh towns and The Cwellyn Arms, just across the road, serves great food if you don’t feel like cooking after a full day. Be prepared to bring basic provisions, as the nearest shop is a short drive away. We would definitely return to this cottage."
