Ancient mound This ancient mound or tumulus is in a field close to Castle Ely House. The field was historically called "twmp", which is the Welsh for mound.

Castle Ely and Fronhaul There was once a medieval settlement here, now all that remains is these houses and a farm. The tumulus can be seen in the centre of the picture.

Nice small cosy room that was toasty warm. Only marked it down as the milk in the little pots was just a solid mass of gloop so could not make a drink. A note on the wall advised that milk was available downstairs in the bar, which is no good if you make a first brew after the place is closed.

We only saw him when we had a problem with the tv.the cottage although roomy was very dated and in need of a complete refurbishment the fifth bedroom could not be accessed by the main accommodation which was not shown in the details.The towels provided were like drying with sandpaper.
