"Great location - 10 min walk along river into Llangollen - superb town. Hotel grounds lovely, good facilities, breakfast good-ish. Room in the modern extension (20 years ago) was upgraded at small-ish cost via auction. Comfortable but creaky bed. No a/c and as bedroom was at front and weather warm, was a bit of noise...England at World Cup on TV for one of the nights! Overall, best looking hotel in town based on our search and very easy parking. Spa looked great, but didn't use."

"The room was very spacious and clean. Had all the things we needed, hangers, iron, kettle tv and sofa. Shower was clean and nice to use. The staff were excellent very polite and happy. Looked like they enjoyed there job and engaged with us well and helped us with any problems we had (we couldn’t get into the room safe after 2 mins of arriving) The area around the hotel was very nice only a 5-10 minute walk to the village centre which had restaurants, pubs, shops there is also a bus and train running there too if you didn’t want to drive. The views and sights were good too there was a waterfall nearby. Overall great value for money and the add extras of breakfast and use of the spa and gym facilities were also good value for money too."

"Lovely hotel, looking tired in places Staff were very friendly & professional. Food was wonderful, thorough breakfast at the weekend was very slow, even when booking a time slot. Safe & coffee machine didn't work in room & never got fixed over 3 nights stay. Gym is very well equipped & pool is a great size for a hotel. Spa reception a bit frosty but the treatment & beauticians were perfect"
