"The Hand Hotel was the wrong choice for me as a place to stay in Llangollen. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday nights and both nights it was noisy at the hotel either just from people talking at the hotel or a band playing music. I am not saying that it was a bad place to stay, rather that it just wasn't right for me and that was my fault, because I chose it. The breakfast is not included and at just under 15 pounds per person, I went elsewhere to eat. The room was okay and there was a view of the River Dee."

"Parking is next door and very reasonable but Llangollen is very busy and we struggled to find a space next door and in other close by car parks. Property was centrally located. Access was up a steel staircase so not suitable for eldery or people of limited mobility. Room was small but comfortable enough, bathroom was clean and compact. Overall good value for money. "

"Perfect location to explore the area. We were there for the Llangollen Round - a 35 mile event - and it was the perfect place to begin. We had an amazing outdoor space which we used all the time as the weather was kind to us. We ate outside too as there wasn't a table for 4 accessible without having to move furniture about in the lounge. The TV we gave up with as too small to see and we were just enjoying having a chat anyway. The kitchen appliances were fantastic but could have done with a better selection of pans to cook with . There were a few area that hadn't been dusted in a long time in the second bedroom but the rest of the cottages was very clean. We had a huge supply of towels which we washed throughout the stay as there was a washing machine and drier in the outdoor area. Overall we picked this one because of the outdoor space and we were lucky with the weather. Not much space inside if weather is bad - especially for young children There were lots of character features and plenty of hot water. When showering, turn the heat control to blue (not red) as this increased the temperature. Nice surprise was the bottle of red left in the secret wine cellar - nice touch."
