    The Local Area

Y Fran sits on the outskirts of Bodffordd, a small and rural village close to Llangefni. A must do is a wonderful walk around Llyn Cefni, which is just a short drive from the house. Llangefni is the island's county town, with a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from — the market town is also home to one of Anglesey's most prominent art galleries, Oriel Môn. For beaches, you are more or less equidistant from both Rhosneigr (9.6 miles) and Red Wharf Bay (9.7 miles) which are both beautiful beaches. Rhosneigr is known for its watersports scene and bustling high street of cafes and shops, while Red Wharf Bay has a more relaxed feel and is a great choice for long walks, pub lunches and family beach days.

10/10 Excellent

A comfortable and well situated cottage

We had a very pleasant week at this cottage. Harish and Sian are very helpful but not intrusive and offer suggestions of places to visit and checking everything was ok on arrival. The location is excellent for visiting a wide range of places to spend the day Lots of good dog walks on beaches, woodland and reservoir nearby. The setting is lovely with an orchard and garden. A decent space to walk the dog morning and night around the garden. It is a comfortable and adequately equipped cottage with a farmhouse kitchen rather than a slick and modern one. We would definitely put it on our list of cottages to revisit. One improvement would be a Smart TV with access to Netflix, Prime etc. For people like us who don't go usually out in the evenings or families with children only having terrestrial TV and Freeview is not good. Freeview is awful! Just old movies and old TV programmes.
