"Lynda's accomodation is designed for both form and function. There's enough seating area outside for every type of weather. When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. We had some trouble finding the accomodation, so make sure you double check the address beforehand, but Lynda was a dear guiding us there and was always available for questions during the stay. "Started off really well. One of the people from The Crown (which is part of the same group and does amazing food? spotted us walking through town and came and helped us get in the front door. Went downhill from there. The room smelt of cigarettes when we arrive and there were burns in the carpet. The bathroom was filthy. There was a layer of dirt all over the floor, to the point that I thought maybe it was the cover of the floor to start with, until I realised the white bits of floor behind the bath were still white, so it was definitely dirt. Loose bits all over it as well. Bath hadn’t been cleaned and there was dirt in the overflow waste hole on the sink. Bedding and towels were very clean luckily. Tried calling but no answer. Spoke to someone in the morning and they said the manager would contact me but they haven’t. Could’ve really lovely if they sort out the cleaning"

"We stayed in ‘Hedgehogs View’ for two nights, the location and view were second to none. The privacy of this specific accommodation was perfect as it’s at the top/back of the other ‘hobbit holes’ , so when using the hot tubs and walking around you’re not visible to anybody else. Our initial perspective was that the accommodation was beautiful , great facilities and well styled . Once we’d settled we noticed a lot of black mould spots in the main bedroom , above the bed area and dotted over the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable , with a very thin matress, the base of the bed being ply wood rather than slats/sprung slats which only accentuated the lack of thickness of the matress. A few little things that don’t work took the edge off the stay also, the bin lid didn’t work, and the mirrors that were supposed to light up in the bedroom/ bathroom didn’t. They stay gave us what we wanted/needed, being a space to relax with stunning views. But for the money I’m not sure I’d return as our sleep was very poor and the mould is something I feel should be addressed ASAP. As it is I’m unsure if I’d recommend based on the above comments."

"The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Devil's Bridge and the surrounding area. We visited the Elan Valley dams and reservoirs, the Silver Mountain and Aberystwyth. The Hotel looks stunning from the outside and inside. A lot of care has gone into every detail of the hotel. Our room was on the top floor. It was very cool and quirky, just a little bit musty smelling. (We couldn't open the windows without a load of bugs flying in so had to keep them closed unfortunately.) The bathroom looked cool but there was nowhere to put anything! Our arrival wasn't the best. We had travelled a fair distance and arrived at 7, when staff were busy with dinner. We rang the bell a few times, we were ignored by staff rushing around with dinner and drinks orders. I asked someone at the bar for help, who said they would ask someone to come and see to us. We kept waiting and eventually I managed to stop someone who just gave us the key card and told us our room was on the top floor. But then, the complete opposite service occurred on our second and third nights when one particular member of staff was really kind, friendly and helpful when we were looking to get a table for dinner. I forgot to get her name but she was amazing and really made our stay. "
