"Helpful staff, delicious breakfast, close to Baton Rouge"

"There was an abandoned building in front of the hotel that looked super sketchy. While the staff member was nice, the place was old and run-down. The room was okay, however bedding looked used/dirty and not freshly washed. The pool water also looked nasty and not good to swim in. I was traveling alone with my two daughters and honestly we almost went somewhere else had the rooms not been inside a locked area that required a hotel key to enter. "

"The room that my family and I stayed in was NOT REPRESENTATIVE of the photos AT ALL. The furniture was very old and worn, probably original from the 70s. The TV did not work at all nor did the phone. They supplied the fixings to make coffee but there was no coffee maker in the room. The stained towels and the walls were paper thin. The room seemed like something you’d rent by the hour. If there are rooms at this motel that look anything like the photos then I’m sure our stay would have been more pleasant. But our room was definitely old and pretty disgusting. It did appear to have a new HVAC unit which worked well and helped a little to drown out the noise from people talking in the rooms around us. I would encourage anyone looking to skip this place, maybe even travel to Baton Rouge. I promise it would be worth the drive."
