Property was fairly quiet for being right off the highway. Staff was excellent great service very personable. The room was better than what I would’ve expected from a low budget motel. Definitely would recommend and definitely planning on staying again.

Staff was really nice, for a motel/inn this is a decent one. Only bad thing to say was that when we checked in the sheets and pillows in our room had blood stains on them.

The property was nice. The rooms were clean. The problem is there is no sign to tell you how to turn into the property. There is also a building next to it that is all boarded up that makes the hotel look like it is clean. You have to turn in at Wendy's. Once we figured that out it was all fine.

Out appearance

The hotel outer appearance needs to be improved. Its strange because the room I stayed in was very decent. If it wasnt for my cousin staying there I wouldnt have ever stayed there. There was also a cat living under the stairs. He had his own food and water bowl. That was not pleasant. I also tried to make reservations through the phone number listed on the company's website and it routes you to a third party company who charges double the rate online, claiming its taxes. There was also people talking loud throughout the hallway. Wasnt very quiet. The hotel lobby front entrance had a hole in the ceiling. The bathroom and room was cleaned. I did find a red spot on my bed sheet that may have been blood. I didnt sleep under that particular sheet.

The room was clean. The grounds could use a little tlc. The staff were very kind and helpful. Clarence was super! I found value here considering the low nightly rate. I will stay here again.

The property is very dated, but the room was clean and for the short time I spent in it was comfortable. Although the abandoned restaurant next door made the hotel look like it was in the same condition. As said, it served the purpose I needed it for but would more than likely not stay again.

Decent for the price ($60)

First floor hallway had old mildew smell. Second floor hallway was much better but the AC air smelled like mildew. Carpet wasn’t clean, chairs weren’t clean, bath tub felt gritty. Bed was relatively clean and comfortable, which was a plus. Service wasn’t friendly or unfriendly, it was concise. I have no complaints on that.

You get what you pay for. We came in for college game day and we needed to be near our friends but their hotel was sold out. Red Roof was the closest and based on the room pictures looked okay. The pictures are deceiving! This location is run down and there is a dilapidated building that looks to have been a restaurant at one time adjacent to it. The carpet in the room was nasty to walk on. Several stains in the ceiling in the bathroom. The towels were like bar towels and very rough on your skin. The pillows were lumpy as if they had been thrown in the washing machine and dried. There were also stains on the sheets. The plus side is the air conditioner was cold. Would not recommend staying there to anyone.

This property is over-priced and dirty. The entire property is littered with trash. From the moment I walked in the dirty building, it strongly smelled like moth balls. People loitering around and also just sitting in their cars. I was afraid to leave the shoes I bought for my daughter’s wedding in the car in case someone broke in my car. Trash and random things like a grocery cart stored around the ice machine made it very sketchy. I am quite independent and not easily scared, but no way was I leaving the room after dark. Towels were awful and the wash cloths were stained and with other people’s hairs still embedded—I used my own. The fridge was warm and didn’t work. There was what sounded like a very large dog barking viciously as I was unloading my things. The bed was clean and comfortable, and I was exhausted after working as a nurse and making the drive from Galveston and just wanted to sleep. Oh, and I reserved a king and got to the check in, and he said he no longer had my room available and ended up w/two doubles. Not a huge deal because I was alone, but it wasn’t what I paid for. He didn’t seem to care, and the hotel was obviously not full. Party with a bunch of younger people who appeared to be loitering at the pool. In all the years I’ve used Expedia—which is a long time—I’ve never written a complaint. Use caution here.
