Elk Ridge cabin with great views near Yellowstone
Just the right amount of rustic, this cabin is also quite secluded with a few neighbors, including deer, elk, foxes, eagles, hawks, magpies, blue birds, finches, gophers, and more! Located with an awe-inspiring view of the mountains and so close to Yellowstone and Chico Hot Springs, and the western town of Livingston. Livingston and Emigrant offer nice dining, breweries, an array of art galleries and other unique shops. Chico`s pool is outdoors, wonderfully clean as water is fresh every day.
It is quaint with its knotty pine interior, river rock fireplace and custom log bed! It`s setting is perfect to create an awesomely memorable visit. You may come to visit Yellowstone Park, but you may find that you won`t want to leave the cabin! Hideabed has got a newer plush mattress to make our guests more comfy.
Apple and Bing maps have the neighborhood streets wrong, so please be attentive to my directions and map that I send you. Weber gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, washer and dryer, WIFI (12-20 MBPS) and satellite television, heat and air conditioning, gas fireplace logs for ambiance in the evenings. Birdseed for the bird feeder, spotting scope. Firewood and propane are provided. Smoking outside please.
Minimal, yet nearby if needed. We live on the way to the cabin and if we see you arrive, we may just check in to see if all is wonderful! We are sensitive to your privacy, yet always available by phone, text, or in person, if needed.
Its location in the valley with great views in all directions, quiet, peaceful area not too far off of a paved road. Love seeing wildlife every day, yet close to town and Yellowstone Park, fishing and hiking within 15 minutes. During wintertime, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, dog-sledding, snowmobiling are a short distance away!
Car, motorcycle or bicycle. Free bus from Livingston to Bozeman on weekdays. Uber now available in the area and Bozeman.
Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of $10 each day to a maximum of $45 for a week. Longer stays or more dogs will be slightly more. The 8% Montana accommodations tax is included in the price. We request that dogs not be left in cabin without approval of the host. Host does have medium size crates available. If you are booking more than 10 months into the future, host has right to confirm prices as occasionally calendars go into automatic pricing which is not reflective of peak season pricing. Thanks for your understanding. HOUSE RULES

We had the best stay at Vicky’s cabin. Everything was as pictured, clean & not far from town! We will definitely be staying again when we’re back in town! Highly recommend
We will be there again and again it’s amazing location. The cabin is Perfect has everything you need Plus and the view is outstanding. It was very clean. We loved every minute hated to leave.
Love our stay at the cabin. Loved the views and the deer that came to visit everyday. It was perfect. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. There really are no words to describe this place. Would highly recommend and stay again.
Perfect location! Beautiful view out every window,
Decor was excellent for the cabin. Very warm and cozy. Any thing you might need is provided. Very relaxing!!
Look forward to returning.
This cabin was an absolutely amazing spot for my boyfriend and I to stay while in Montana for a wedding. Close to Yellowstone, the town of Livingston, trailheads to waterfalls, and of course those spectacular mountains! You really can't beat the view from this place. The cabin itself was beautiful and was so cozy to rest up after days full of adventure!
We stayed at this cabin - wife and two children for the first three days of our Montana adventure. We would drive into Yellowstone each day. Views are unreal. Owner responsive and helpful. Would stay here again.
This place was everything we could have expected and more. The veiws were something I could look at for hours. The place was clean and had everything you could need.oppossibl
This is a clean, peaceful, and beautiful location with all the supplies needed for a weekend getaway. The host was very kind and prompt in responding to questions. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to make it out to this area and cabin again.
This cozy cabin has all you need for a relaxing peaceful getaway. The fireplace was lovely and the giant bed was comfy. Extra little details made our stay extra special. We had plenty of visitors including deer, grouse, coyotes, and chickadees! We will be booking again. Thank you!
We loved the coziness of the cabin and the location, wow! The views are beautiful from any direction. You are literally in the middle of the mountains with so many mule deer and elk to watch. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a nice addition. Perfect!
This property was breathtaking. The views, the location, the animal visits, the sunsets-all of it was just heaven. Everything we needed was provided including extra bear spray for those hiking. Yellowstone was just under an hour away but felt like 10 minutes with the scenic drive there. We definitely recommend a stay here 10/10.
Above and beyond rental. Impeccably clean and well equipped/appointed cabin for two (plus dogs!) in a breathtaking open landscape Yellowstone valley. (Neighbors are great dog-lover friendly people as well.)
Best VRBO experience we have ever had.
This was our second stay here and we can’t wait to return again! The views are breathtaking and the cabin is cozy and has everything you could need! The bed is comfy, we cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and we were there when it was cold and the cabin was nice and warm! Thank you for everything!
First time in Montana. The Cabin was perfectly located in the Mts. to be peaceful and providing a wonderful vacation. The cabin had everything we needed to make it like home and also located with easy access to Yellowstone Park. We woke up every morning to look out and see what wildlife filled the large bottom land around the cabin. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with all the adventure they want to tackle. Darrell/Lorie/Landon
We loved our time at Elk Ridge! The cabin was cozy, quiet, and incredibly scenic. Surrounded by mountains and regularly visited by elk, deer, and fox, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals at home, the bed was super comfy, and the decor was very fitting. Elk Ridge sits about an hour from the airport and less than an hour from Yellowstone's entrance. For feeling so secluded, it's truly not that hard to get to. It was perfect for our short getaway and we can hardly wait to visit again!
Omg! What a hidden gem! This place waa exactly what the listing showed and what I'd hoped it be....quiet, beautiful, room for my dogs to run and enjoy. This is going to be our new place to stay instead of Chico. I am so happy we found it. The cabin was adorable...clean, stocked with everything we needed. Thank you. We will be back:)
We’ve been coming to this area for several years now. This cabin and hosts deserve beyond a 5 star rating!!!! The cabin, the 360 views, the wildlife definitely make this cabin truly amazing. The host has literally thought of everything and we definitely will be returning here!! Would give you more stars if I could!!! Best wishes always Pam and Donald
Where to even begin?! The views are stunning and shockingly gorgeous, exactly like it is pictured here-- and having a dog here is perfect- there's space for them to relax and play-- if ours was younger we could have thrown his ball for days!
The house is very well appointed; spices, oils, pots and pans, small but very workable oven, microwave, coffee and tea pot, very well done-- the bed is super comfy, the living room is actually one of the more comfy we've ever stayed in and the dining room table comes with that view, that wonderful view!
Vicki is a wonderful hostess, we stayed in both of her locations this trip and the touches she adds are great-- they were cool when we walked in, filled with local information and guides, with handwritten notes, both houses came with treats! (I called them swag baskets!)-- cookies, trail mix, gold fish, munchies, and the big house (this one) even had a bottle of wine for us-- it was a lovely touch-- her communication was wonderful-- knowing she or her crew were close felt comforting without cloying-- she even has a bird feeder that she leaves full for your arrival and leaves more seed to refill it!
This was a bittersweet trip, for health reasons we had to spend more time at the house then we typically do-- and it was comfortable, beautiful and enjoyable enough to do so without whining-- the deck is a beautiful place to hang out on and drink your tea and watch the birds and prairie dogs--
beautiful trip and place--
