Ski Access:
Stay warm for as long as you can with effortless access to slopes 20 yards from your heated garage. Homestead 6 uses the Rose Bud Access Trail located directly behind the home or has the option to use the White Otter access. Both options lead to White Otter chair lift's loading point below the home. The anticipated opening date for White Otter lift is December 16, but the lift may open earlier in the season depending on snow conditions. The lift typically closes in mid-April, prior to resort closing. The home is not ski-in/out unless White Otter Lift is open. Please inquire for details.
Ski Out: Step off the rear deck of your Big Sky Lodging and walk a short distance (20 yards) to the Rosebud Trail. Go skiers right and cross over the bridge, following the access trail to the loading area for the White Otter Chairlift. Option 2 is to use the White Otter Access. This requires walking out of the driveway, turning right and walking up to the access point next to Claim Jumper 16. Approximately 50-60 yard walk. The ski out does have a few flat areas that will be more difficult for snowboarders and young children. (Green access)
Ski In: From the top of Swift Current, ski Jay Walk to Lower Morning Star. Once on Lower Morningstar, ski past the first set of Powder Ridge signs and take a left at the SECOND set of Powder Ridge signs. Follow the signs towards the White Otter access. Once on White Otter Access, immediately exit the trail to the left next to Claim Jumper 16 to access your rental prior to crossing the White Otter Access Bridge. (Green access)

We rented this property for a family vacation in Big Sky with 12 adults and a 4-year old. The house was perfect! Enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own room and space throughout that we didn't feel like we were on top of one another. Great location near Big Sky Resort too and close enough to town that you didn't feel like you were driving a lot. The view from the property was incredible too. Would definitely rent again!
Beautiful house that comfortably fit our group of 15. We had three couples and kids ranging from 8 to 18 and everybody was happy with their bedrooms/bathrooms and the overall layout. Location is perfect! The teenagers loved the hot tub and having the first floor all to them selves. The best part was the giant moose who walked up to the back window, and calmly greeted us.
The property was well equipped and maintained. The multilevel design allowed for 6 adults and an infant to have their own space. The property location was peaceful as well as providing an opportunity to observe some native wild life.
I have to say, this was one of the best places I have stayed at a ski resort. The view from the great room was amazing. Wellstocked with wood for the fireplace. Plenty of room for the guests AND a heated garage.
Getting onto the mountain and coming back was very easy. Very nice furtniture. Bed were comfortable.
Highly recommended!
Excellent property but a couple of minor inconveniences
This is such a beautiful property that is extremely close to the resort. We loved all the king bedrooms, kitchen, and living space with the huge windows! Our group had 14 guests and therefore more than 3 cars. After communicating with Big Sky Resort and the Big Sky Mountain Rentals, know one had any idea about where to park more then 3 cars. This Property kept referring us to “risk” parking overnight at Big Sky Resort even though there were clearly signs that you would be towed. The Property Management did not have any other suggestions where to park other than the Resort. A few other aspects that were a hassle were: the arcade didn’t work, a few drawers to dressers were missing, and key code to open the house didn’t work when we got there. Other than that, we all loved the place and had a wonderful time and it was easy to get a hold of the Property Management if there was a problem! It was quite a luxurious place to stay in Big Sky!! Overall we would stay here again.
Great location and home. Amenities were awesome and views great. Sonos music throughout home, 4 king beds a must have! Hot tub worked like a champ! Easy access to hiking, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores etc. Deer walked through back yard. Everything was great!
